Lost his mother, doesn't understand how to deal with the pain. Doesn't know who to talk to. Can't understand the feelings. Father junks the car because it can't be fixed. TJ obviously had memories being in the car that he can't let go of. Memories of mom and dad smiling, laughing and singing on the day of the accident. Grandma trying to get her grandson to go for a walk with her broke my heart. There are times I wish I could walk with my grandmother around the block, sadly she's in heaven😢.. This is a very emotional and thought provoking movie.. And I don't say that about a lot of movies, because I don't watch a lot of movies.. But this one hits home and the heart.. Thanks for uploading this..

Good Lord what an Amazing Movie! Laughed and Cried, questioned it all. Absolutely Radical Movie, and hits home on so Many levels. And not everyone gets to make that walk, but I do believe We never walk alone.

Incredible! This one was a real tear jerker for me, but I'm in my 50's and understand how precious life is and we all have our demons we fight, and without Jesus, I can clearly see why this world suffers. Seek Jesus, He Don't Lie Much Love and God Bless

The name of the movie is Hesher (Another name for a headbanging metalhead) I'm an old-school Metallica fan, but avoided this movie because I didn't feel like I needed to see yet another Metallica documentary. Lo and behold, it was nothing of the sort. Brilliant movie, and it really touched home for me. In my opinion, Hesher WAS TJ, or was what TJ could become if things continued as they were. As someone who dealt with some serious life-changing crap at an early age, I know how things can go when you've got no support structure, when the adults around you are even crazier than you're becoming. It becomes more than easy to just say phukit. If societal mores and norms aren't helping you any, then why abide by them?

I've been seeing Rainn Wilson in a lot of these unknown movies lately and they have all have been great. Totally unexpected. Really great films that will withstand the test of time. He's so much more than that guy from that show.

Ahhhh , the Chevy chevette. Mean machine , 4 cyl of pure power. 0-25 mph in whiplash inducing 27 seconds. Downhill top speed a mind-blowing 54 mph , lost your keys , doesnt matter just turn the ignition. No oil in the engine, thats fine itl still run and drive. If you have someplace to be , give yourself an extra 45 to 60 min just in case theres a hill to climb. And if there is a hill ( god forbid ) be kind and let others go before you attempt to climb the mount Everest of road hills , because you might not make it. The 1986 Chevy Chevette. Its one BAD machine. Beeeuuoooopooopahh.

Be good to see a Chevette race another muscle car....Ford Pinto! My parents had one and so did my sister. Strange time in the US going from cars like my grandparents Buick WIldcat 454 to Chevettes and Pintos. My HS teacher even special ordered a Mustang and it was a not much better than the Pinto or Chevette. WHen US car guys tried to make high mpg cars they came out with crap. NOw my Datsun 260z got good gas mileage. I put a fresh 280z motor in it with a Holley Carb conversion and header exhaust. Front end was all fiberglass and I had a low ride complete suspension kit. That car would move.

I think this movie resinates with all of us that have experienced tragedies, overwhelming obstacles , or lost someone we we couldn't live without.

Great acting and story. Kept my interest all the way through.

Good movie!! I think I'll watch it again. First time I've really cried in a long time. 😢 I needed this. When life screws you up, you became dysfunctional. But it doesn't mean you have to stop caring and having feelings. Yeah, this movie would seem like a waste, if you can't understand the deeper learning experiences in it. If that makes sense?

It's really close to the chaos that can happen when your grieving.

This movie is for sure in my top 10 of all time. How and why I never knew heard about this or any fellow movie buffs said nothing.... How. If your reading comments and wondering .... watch it.

I had never heard of this movie and it was really good! Quite dark and brings up a lot of different feelings, I loved it.

This movie was acted out so well, emotional on every scale & level and full of finding yourself wondering what & why someone or something was said or done at any given time; played out throughout the whole movie! Yet on the human level you got it! Emotionally gripping journey! Complex & yet so Beautifully simple , straight forward & perplexing all at once!;YET; You KNOW all that you need to know to understand & enjoy the Story line! A gripping & creative use of raw feelings; sadness, anger, compassion, disgust , laughter, confusion ,& love . Awesome Movie!.

What a great movie! How have I never heard of this even once? Love the ending too. I bawled my eyes out and then the closing scene brought me right back up again. It’s like a rickety old rollercoaster at a second-rate theme park that’s fun and painful at the same time. Halfway through you’re like “I’m never riding this again” and by the end it’s “one more time!” Also the characters are just so relatable. I could see a bit of myself in each of the main ones. I felt their pain as well as their joy as if they were my own. Sidenote: I feel like Hesher is a grown up Sid Phillips (Toy Story) whose heart grew a size bigger after losing his left nut but the psycho streak was untouched

Never heard of this movie. It’s fantastic. Joseph Gordon levitt really has talent. Believable bad ass. ⭐️ x10.

Hesher reminded me of most of the dude’s I used to hang out with back in the 90’s lol good times doesn’t seem like that long ago but in hindsight it’s an eternity ago 😒

I love this movie and have seen it several times. Great soundtrack as well. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an underrated actor. He plays a douchebag in Hesher so well. I can't wait to see what he's going to do next.

I watched this with the Boyz they were my best friends twin brothers .... I was in a bad state of mind but now I watched it again wow ....

It's strange how a Movie can reflect so much on someone and how someone was and still kinda is in a since.

Rule #1- everything is subject to change. Sometimes for the better, usually not. Sometimes your pool becomes a giant flaming thrash compactor on a Tuesday and you've got 3 more days before you can break down and lose it. Sometimes you hit for like 20 bucks on a scratch off ticket and you're wearing clean underware. You just never know.

I saw this in theaters when it came out, mainly went bc I heard it contained music from Motörhead and Metallica. And it was freakin GREAT. It actually might be the best indie film of the past 20 years and the music was an added bonus.

Hesher in my opinion resembles a bad influence but in reality he watches people questioning why they take things and words so seriously, questioning what they will do but not interfering unless pushed to do so, then sharing his opinions with stories kinda like a philosopher no matter how crude or complex he words it. And he kinda toys with people to see what they'll do, almost like a guardian angel that's also as someone else commented the future version of the kid & that's why he gets so involved. Really good movie I enjoyed it thanks!

What the hell did I just watch? I don't know what to think, but I watched the whole damn thing! A wild ride, to be sure.

Superb flick! I caught half this classic on the other side of the world, thought of it, a thousand times over, even, last week, yet, never knew the name, only remembering the Metallica font and "kill em all" played over and over again, in the he van, ha! "Hesher" & Joseph Gordon-Levitt, was better in this, than Keanu,☘️ in Rivers Edge!
