I was surprised to hear you say that you wouldn't pay $100 for pre-TSA if it wasn't included with your card. I have had Global Entry, which includes pre-TSA, for about 7 years now. At $100 for that for 5 years, it is the best $100 I've spent on a travel expense during that time! I paid the $100 for the first time, and did get it covered by a credit card the 2nd time, but I would most definitely pay it out of pocket again if I had to. Not having to remove my shoes, my sweater, my laptop, and my liquids every time I get to an airport is SO WORTH it, in addition to the generally much shorter lines. And that's just the pre-TSA portion of it. Since I actually have Global Entry, I sail through customs every time I fly back into the US too. When I came back in June I was through customs in about 5 minutes. I'm pretty sure the folks in the standard line were in line for more than 30. I have no desire to go back to that craziness!

It is great, but we mostly use the train in the US.

@@GroundedLifeRetirementTravel That makes sense. I don't know that I've ever had the opportunity to ride the train in the U.S. I guess I'll have to watch your videos on that topic. It's not an option that I've seriously looked into here. (We've ridden trains in Europe numerous times!)

I would happily pay $1000 for 5 years of TSA precheck. Family of 5 here and we just breeze through SFO with that and CLEAR. The last time we went to SFO in June, the TSA line was so long, people got confused where to even stand.

Nice video. What cards do you recommend if you only want to travel in North America and Europe? Also, wanted to let you know that thanks to you and your videos, I got the Amtrak Master Card and booked a trip to San Antonio in a roomette. 👍🏻

Great video guys love both channels. As a Canadian I drool at all the credit cards you have down there. We have limited options. Can you do a video on how Canadians can tap into those credit cards if it’s possible? I have a US account and credit card through a Canadian bank. But that’s as close as I have gotten. I do not know none in the US to use their address. Thanks

Great video! So glad to have found your channel! (channels!) A question for you regarding credit card sign-up perks as we just begin our two year (or more) planning for retirement travel -- do the points expire at some point if they're not being used? Thanks :)

Thanks, the hotel points will expire with no activity so it's important to use the card once a year or check the specific program details.

This is a great video but most of us do not travel full time. Which card can you recommend for 3-4 times a year travel? Thank you

I have a question: Do any of these cards place a time-limit to use the points? Do they roll over year over year if unnused? Thanks!

There is a limit but it resets if you are active so it isn't really an issue
