Great tips Kendra! You guys clearly did a lot of planning to be able to travel full time, sometimes it looks a lot easier 😅 I like the idea of taking a year off every decade 🤗

Us too! Hopefully taking a year off every decade will become the new normal.
Thank you so much -- this is incredibly helpful, and great timing! For your list of affordable, wonderful countries to visit, I'd definitely add countries in Africa as well! I personally *love* Tanzania, Kenya, and Rwanda, and am dying to see more countries like Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, Eswatini, Lesotho, and more. My partner had a wonderful time in Algeria recently, seeing Roman ruins that were WAY more extensive than anything you can see in Rome! :)

I guess if you can be a Full-time traveler, I'm you don't have children, I have a teenager and right now I couldn't see traveling right, so it does sound like a great plan.

Plenty of people travel full-time with their children. You might want to search for 'full-time travel family' for inspiration.

@@LucasWorldTravel thank you, I didn't think of that!!!😊
If you stay put in countries longer your costs can go down a fair bit. The $4000 per month ($2000 usd per person per month) is quite high relatively speaking. You can rent an apartment in say.. the balkans, for like $600 USD a month. There is no way you would need to spend $3400 USD on top of that each month to live. The average person is earning $600 - $800 EURO a month there. FUll tiem travel can be way less than that and needs to be if you want to do it for a long time without putting in lots of long work hours while you do it. Just some thoughts.

Yes, that is one way to do things. The problem is we wanted to see as much as possible. Not just live in one city for a month which wastes time and causes you to see less and experience less.

@@LucasWorldTravel for sure, everyone is doing this with different mindset, resources, time in life.. etc. We are "retiring" so for us it's easy to take it slow.
Great advice I live in California have so much debt looking for a second job to pay off my debt barely scrapping by right now having a hard time finding another job. I really need to leave California they raise rent $50 to $60 every year it's ridiculous. I was stupid had a car paid for went out traded it for a car that us very expensive each month because my credit was poor interest is high but I'm a year into loan a long-term loan I wish I could get out of but I need a car to drive so I feel stuck.

That is a tough situation. You might want to listen to Dave Ramsey. He has great advice for getting out of bad car deals. California is so expensive as well. Have you thought of leaving the state?
