I received this as a gift last month. I can't stop thanking the person who gave it to me. It has become my favorite in short order. Everything you described about it is on point. Sophisticated, earthy, citrusy. I love the vetiver. Excellent review.

I love this one. The citrus smells so good, its the grassy fragrant vetiver and not soapy at all. The navitus primas one reminds me of this but with less woods and more oakmoss. But TdH is one that really showed me how good things can smell without being overly complex. Thanks for the review

Well it's a Jean Claude Ellena composition so of course it's going to be a high class juice.

Burnt orange & vetiver with a nice spicy woody dry down..a true masterpiece of a fragrance

How is this an "really nice or awesome review" when she doesn't clearly state which version (EDT or Parfum) that she was reviewing? The bottles both look the same. Smh.

I own and wear the EDP. I wear Fall and Spring. It reminds me of burning leaves, cool-milder temps. Decay but growth. I enjoy the frankincense and often wear to Mass on Sunday. Not a high compliment getter, but solid. Flinty, burnt citrus, green vetiver Spring day after Church. Classy and different.

An excellent review. The one thing I will say, since vetiver can turn some people off as an old man smell - it has none of that tendency. It’s not like Guerlain at all, for instance. Not that I don’t love Guerlain. The vetiver in this picks up the sharp organic smell of the citrus up front and makes it last into the dry down. It’s quite a feat of scent engineering actually. It’s a perfectly paced and perfectly balanced progression.

At first it take time to get use to the scent, it is totally different from all the others I have in my collection, after a while I notice that it is very refreshing and does feel and smell very classy . Great cologne totally worth the money spent😁😁😁

Crazy I was on a site and I literally have Terre d'Hermes EDT and Tom Ford Grey Vetiver in my basket contemplating on getting them today or next week. I'm grabbing these today!! Thanks for the video drop!

My signature scent! I prefer the EDT version. The first time i tried it on i couldn't stop sniffing my wrist for the rest of the day. I just bought a bottle the next day. It is specifically intoxicating when u smell it in the air around you, it's here when one would realize how classy it smells. Thank you Monica for reviewing this 👌

Good review, though I am surprised you did not mention the orange/grapefruit citrus opening, which I get smell very dominantly, until it dries down. I'm wearing this at the end of summer, beginning of Autumn and it's still good. To me it visualises an orange grove bordering a rocky forest in Sicily just after rain. Everything from the ground and rock smells and the grove is carried by wind, a great fragrance.

Monica, you really nailed this review. Your opinion of what it smells like and the imagery of who would wear it is very articulate. Recently purchased the EDT for a very reasonable price. I must say the ladies do enjoy it. The EDT blends the vetiver note perfectly with citrusy notes and woodsy notes providing a year round versatile classy fragrance.

@@WrestlingErnestHemingway I know the bottle. I own 2 of these. The EDT most always outshines the EDP and yes I know it’s personal preference that counts. It is a classic and rightfully so. Like I said she nailed the review. I trust her reviews in most cases and her hubby collaborates well with her.

@@vive928 these SIMPS in here don't reply. Not even the reviewer she doesn't seem to reply to her fans comments either. SMH at all this. She sort FAILS to mention the most important part of the fragrance. Was it the EDT or Parfum she liked? She semi leads leads us to THINK it's the edt without truly being that clear about it.

I am on my 3rd bottle of this. I recommend EDP, it lasts longer and it's more intense. This fragrance is very sophisticated. It's very fresh. You will appreciate it if you love perfumes. I got the most compliments with this perfume. It's a safe choice. Also wear a shirt ot something smart with this, and you will attract females like glue. You will be remembered.........

One of the finest and honest review of this classic fragrance ! Many reviewers say that it is for older people which is completely incorrect. It is classy, fresh and earthy. Your observation about longevity of edt and P is also spot on. I have both EDT and Pure Parfum but I prefer Parfum over EDT. Thanks again Monika for a wonderful review. Haven't tried it's vetiver version, which is next on my list...

To get the real smell you must apply to your skin where the chemicals mingle and change to notes. For me this is the best fragrance ever. It lasts long on my skin compared to most fragrances and it has deep warm honest sophisticated woody tones that is classy clean and shick. Love it more than anything on the market.

hey, so I am new here. Ireally like you videos, I almost watch them and I really like them. So I hope I can see more videos about spring/summer perfumes beacause I am gonna buy a perfume for the first time

On me it last 2 days. I love the smell. More like english wet grass mixed with oranges.

The EDT has become one of my favorite fragrances. Love the orange and vetiver but the pepper and patchouli make it unique.

This is my most favourite. When I just tried it for the fun at the shop I knew it was the right one for me.

@@oliveringham5207 I would probably agree with that I have the parfum and love it. However it's too bad she didn't mention which one she was holding up reviewing in this video. They are pretty pricy so it would be nice to know which one she was reviewing. But I will just for now stick to the small parfum bottle of tdh that I have for now. I was thinking of getting me a 3.2 oz one and didn't know which one to get. It'll probably be the parfum version I already like. Someday maybe I will be able to afford to try them all.

@@oliveringham5207 I have heard so many people say that they think the EDT is the better performer in both regards on this one. I would also tend to think and believe that the parfum has to be the better performer. But the longevity on the Parfum in so many reviews & comments suggest that most people think the EDT has better projection longer than the parfum. I think maybe the parfum although stronger in smell, doesn't last as long on the skin possibly. So confusing huh? I have a small bottle with a little left in it of the parfum. I am thinking of maybe trying the EDT version if it's almost the same as the parfum. But, I just don't know because for the same price I'd rather just stick with the parfum. The EDT should be about $20-$30 cheaper imo. But it's not.

TdH is a true masterpiece

TdH is what Aventus wants to be when it grows up. As a citrus cedar scent it is so much more refined than Creed's offering.

Superb fragrance. But I personally prefer the Eau Très Fraiche version, it's a shame it has been discontinued though

Ok two things...I have been trying to get into the new opening music...because its always good to change things up and usually the change grows on you to the point where it becomes preferred...BUT...in this case...the old song was just so....YOU! The old one just captured your essence that this one simply cant replicate. I very much doubt I am the only one who thinks this but I may be the only one brave enough to say it. Lol Soooooo if its at all possible to either go back to it or even interchange it sometimes that would be fabulous! Secondly...yep...the Terre Hermes line is great. I have the Eau Tres Fraiche version as I live in a warm/hot climate. It is basically a lighter, fresher version of the EDT....and whats intriguing about it is that it has an iso-e super drydown that seems to last forever and like Molecule 01 it gives off that classy sandal wood type close to the skin scent with a touch of the bitter orange. The late drydown can again increase in intensity and project as it warms up..sometimes attracting positive comments many hours after application when u think its totally gone! A great fragrance that is especially suited for slightly more dressed up work occasions in the day when working in close proximity to others but perhaps not the best for social distancing if one wants to be noticed. Lol

This Terre d'Hermes eau de toilette perfume is a masterpiece.

I still haven't tried this or anything from the house , for reasons still unknown to me 😂 Appreciate your Insight into this one :)

Picked up some new freshies or more so Spring/Summer frags but found the OG Hermes edt, is better than any of the flankers and is still mord expensive than its flankers, unfortunately in Aust we pay full retail 99% of the time for the quality designers, so paid $180 AUD normally was $210

I never understood what really means when someone said it's a very very mature perfum, it's so heavy but mellow downs into something pleasant in am hour, it's a bit overwhelming at the instance of spraying it, as a blind buy it isnt a perfume that I am very happy to have, keeping it as a room spray is a choice now

Sounds like you bought the EDP. If you did, try the EDT and if you can find it try TDH Eau tres Fraiche or the Eau Givree.

Advice to anyone!!!! Get the gift set that's refillable. You get a 30ml bottle and a large 125ml, which you use to keep filling up the 30ml bottle. You get the most out of your money.

I got tired of the whole blue genre people pleasing type fragrances so moved out of my comfort zone and bought terre dhermes and never looked back
