BEST Chin Strap - A better way to close your mouth (and stop snoring) during sleep.

Ғылым және технология

This video is about a chin strap that I didn't manage to check out last time I did a review on the subject. It is also a shout-out for the Hope2Sleep charity who are out there to help people with sleep disordered breathing. I hope this video will help the charity grow and support more people. www.hope2sleep.co.uk/
Many thanks to Kath Hope (owner of the charity) who sent me out some of these chinstraps to show you. Any advertising cash I get from this video will be sent to the Hope2Sleep Charity. I am not expecting much, but I want to do my bit and not profit from them.
I would recommend buying the device directly from them if you can (see link below).

If you really can't buy it from the charity then here is an affiliate link to amazon which would support my channel.

    Thank you so much Vik for this great video and also for asking for people to support the charity, as there's nothing better we love to do ourselves than support patients with sleep apnoea, UARS and all other forms of sleep disordered breathing 🎗️💙 Product sales is our main form of charity funding so that we can offer all advice and support for free. The sole reason for sending those chinstraps was because we wanted you to see them as we knew they would help your own patients when you recommend chinstraps, as finally we have found one that does what a chinstrap should be doing....preventing the jaw from receding further backwards 👍 The added bonus for CPAP/mask users is it helps prevent discomfort from the mask headgear. You're an amazing consultant - also so passionate in helping people, hence all the time you spend adding such great content to help people, and we regularly share your videos ourselves 😊

    @@53531640 It's maybe not made its way get to Australian CPAP suppliers, but sure it will soon when word gets around. It's very popular in the USA where it's made. We do ship regularly to Australia as we support lots of sleep apnoea sufferers over there who need the CPAP comfort products we sell.

    I'm in the united states so I'm not sure if I can easily get one of these, but just looking at a lot of the existing cheap straps on the market, I know they won't work well for me. I absolutely know that my jaw slides back when I sleep (especially on my back), and it's because my mouth hangs open. I haven't tried taping yet, but any strap that would pull my jaw BACK would be the wrong thing. I just need it to close my mouth like I'm holding it closed myself. This looks like it 100% would do that.

    I thought the purpose of a chin strap is to stop mouth breathing. Well if you can talk as in your demo then how is it supposed to keep your mouth totally closed?

  • @aceboogie959

    @aceboogie959

    I think a. Maybe it's not adjusted correctly, he just put it on and b. You can talk because you have strong jaw muscles, if you just relax your jaw without contracting it it (hopefully) keep your mouth from opening
