At $350 for a race-level 1/8 RTR nitro buggy, this is probably the best value RC nitro car you can buy, and maybe the best value of all cars. Let's take a look at this buggy!

Raced the 7.5 with Nova Rossi SBK -01 Ron Paris modified .21. That buggy was the fastest nitro on the track. This was back in 2002. That little ring by the steering servo is a transponder mount. It counts laps and times for racing.
The nitrogang is all about maximum value. Great to see another nitro in your fleet.
I have one and think it's good value for money. After break in the carb holds a tune, think it's a great budget engine. The only weak spot I've had is the rear hinge pin brace, breaking when I hit a turn to fast and it would cart wheel. I found they make a metal brace, but thought I rather break the plastic one than maybe break an arm. The second one that I broke, I dremeled a groove around it and zip tied it. It's taken some tumbles and still holding up. It's the only nitro I've got that has a plastic spur gear and it's held up well, just remember to recheck the mesh once in a while it will be fine. I think you'll like it.
That works perfect, my brother and I have been stuck between the Trophy 3.5 and this for his first nitro, now we’ve got the best RC channel looking at them both.
I bought a new Kyosho DBX 1/10 scale 4WD nitro buggy back in 2008. It had dual disc brakes just like a 1/8 scale. Used it for three years, it was great fun.
An affordable Kyosho, who knew?! 😉 Looking forward to seeing this run.
I've been out of the game for almost 20 years running Nitro On Road. Something dawned on me now I'm obsessed again. Going to buy this as I've never done Off-Road. Looking forward to a Nitro Comeback.
Oooooh yes! I have been waiting for a legendary buggy such as this since you started nitro
Loving the nitro content 👍
Sweet looking RC and great review brother
Kyosho is excellent brand glad there keeping Nitro going. Lots of different models to choose from.
👍👍 This looks real nice!! Like the tires on it too!
Awesome video my friend nice unboxing looks good great job thumbs up 👍
I had one over 30 years ago a Kyosho 4WD Burns very expensive back then during the late 80's. I'm tempted to get another one after a long hiatus, this buggy looks like good value...
Cool unboxing, its a great rtr buggy. I have the 2.0 version practictly the same. Quick tip the neo series can use mp7, 7.5, and 777 parts and options. Its acutally based on the mp7.5 like you said. Also a decent midrange tuned pipe like the dynamit 053 really wakes the engine up.
I own the orange one for a year no issue at all including the plastic gear but I also have a metal one just in case I break. It’s a good rtr and sound better than stock losi or traxxas nitro.
Great review, this buggy looks great! I agree with you regarding the comeback for nitro. I love my nitro truck and I think it gives me so much more satisfaction then the electric cars.
Great review, I bought one
Love mine. It's a great buggy for the price 🙂
Kyosho is good stuff. Nice buggy.
Hell im gonna say it if you have experience in Nitro HSP makes copies of rs4 1/10 nitros for less than 200$ 2 speed and are a fn blaaaaaaasssstttt it's a steal!!!!
That little tab with the hole is for the old style transponders that you could usually use/rent at the tracks.
Nice looking buggy, I bought a green one myself but haven't run it yet. BTW, people really need to stop calling RC cars "vehicles".
Agreed...but, on the 'plus' side, RC Screws does have a SS hex screw kit (KYO33012B) for the Inferno Neo 3.0. Like many, I'd prefer a hex screw kit from Team KNK, as stuff from RC Screwz can, sometimes, be "questionable" (not sure of the 'quality' of the SS they use, and screw lengths aren't always accurate). However, it is always possible to put your own hex screw kit together using screws from the vendor of your choosing (Team KNK, Amain's ProTek, etc).

I'm not a fan of stainless screws, I prefer black oxide hardened ones.

@@RazorRC Again, I'm in agreement. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of anyone with a black oxide screw kit...but, as mentioned above, putting one together shouldn't be too difficult. Either way, ANYTHING is better than those Philips screws (same goes for Tamiya kits).
Was thinking of picking this up though I'm not a fan of phillips screws I would probably convert them to hex screws.
The little bracket is for holding the transponders that some tracks loan/rent. They use a body clip to hold them on.

awesome, thanks for the info!
How would you recommend this to someone that has never touched a nitro before I've seen them run and I love the sound and I'm actually tired of messing with LiPO batteries the damn thing scared the hell out of me because I've seen too many of them catch fire. I haven't been into RC very long but like I said I love the sound and I'm never even attempted to tune one of the motors
Just don't break it as it will turn into a decoration on the shelf! 😂 Seems that's their biggest fault is parts availability
I never had good luck with the original engine the ke25 has better bearings
Shell I get this or the mp9 tiki 4 v2 ?

I haven’t tried the MP9, so not sure, but I’m sure that one is even better!
how much is it
I have the electric version of this buggy and it's a tank.

good to know! that's my main concern with a 20yo design, that they weren't made for modern speeds and tracks.
Price of inferno neo 3.0 RTR = $600 usd, not the cheapest one now

? It’s $420 in the U.S. now.
❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊 ไฟไฟแหด
Phillips hardware is a deal breaker for me, I feel like if they can’t use hex like the rest of the world (except cheap Chinese brands) then I assume the rig quality will be the same as those so I pass on them.
