    I think this is another opportunity to build a dyno! Use a hydraulic cylinder and have a valve that gradually reduces the flow. You can measure flow rate vs pressure. Hopefully the Makita guns work better under that scenario. Great test as usual!!!

    The light on the Amazon special seems like something the new Skil would do. Definitely a smart idea.

    If I needed a caulk gun. I’m on the dewalt line. But I have a craftsman battery adapter for that little soldering iron. I don’t see the dewalt being 4 times better than the 10 year old dewalt unit.

  • @Tools-Tested

    @Tools-Tested

    Yeah Dewalt needs to update that version or at the very least drop the price. I don't think you can beat the performance of the craftsman for the price!

    I really like your channel. Could you make a video testing tools with battery adapters? Like using a Bosch battery on a Milwaukee tool with an adapter to see if they work well.

  • @Tools-Tested

    Thanks! The problem is most power tool adapters are a bad idea. This is because manufactures use differ forms of communication between the tools. So adapters only send power and ground no communication to the battery/tool. What happens in most cases the tool can drain the battery completely dead, causing damage to the pack. For example most cells are supposed to be drained down to 2-2.5v- so with a 18v battery you should never go below 10-12.5V or the cells become damaged. Hope this makes sense, I know its tempting but I would recommend staying away from adapters. At some point I do need to look at how each tool communicates between the battery.

    Interesting that the Uaoaii brand is also tested, because Torque Test Channel tested their mid-torque M18 mimic, which actually performed very well. Matching the M18 in some respects when matched with a real Makita battery. Of course, these off brands are a bigger risk and I would rather buy more reliable brands on sale and the have a backing of a stable company.

    Yeah I just seen that lol, haven't watch the video yet. Uaoaii poped up as a common brand being purchased on Amazon, figured I would give it a shot. I agree for the most part after 30 day you are on your own, a true throw away tool.

    That light is great. Hope the mainstream companies start doing that soon. Just a tip, although I like your no nonsense approach, you might attract more viewers by explaining things a bit more, like what you'll be doing, and don't assume your viewers know what you're talking about. Most of your viewers now probably do, but new viewers might not understand everything. Think of like a wife wanting to buy a tool for her husband, she might need it a bit simpler. Love your channel!

    The light is nice, I agree others need to add it. Yeah sometimes I don't explain it all because of previous videos with the test procedure shown and explained. Its always a battle between to short or long explanation lol, defiantly a tricky balancing act. Thanks!

    That unit from Amazon is pretty respectable, could well be a market for a battery adapter for it to enable a Dewalt, Makita, etc battery to be used with it. Be interesting to see how my other manufacturers incorporate a light into their now. Thanks for the video.

    @TorqueTestChannel good to know, that means you could use it on any platform that doesn't have it's own caulk gun if you can get an adapter for that platform battery to makita. Gonna have to start looking into a bauer to makita adapter for myself.

    Anybody try installing another brand 29oz barrel and plunger on hilti guns since they don’t offer one?

  • @Tools-Tested

    @Tools-Tested

    If I remember correctly the pushing rod is totally different vs other brands so even if the holder would attach the issue would be the pushing rod. Very odd they don't offer a 29oz..

  • @robertrada6040

    @robertrada6040

    @@Tools-Tested They don’t offer it because they don’t sell anything in 28/29 Oz tubes. Which…I mean….goes completely counter to the demographic expansion they are trying to achieve right now. They don’t offer anything I’d use in the caulk gun int he first place. I’m fairly certain it’s of Chervon manufacture, which has me wondering if a Kobalt plunger would work in there. Edit: strike that, the Kobalt uses a thread rod.

    Isn't the price of the Bosch wrong? I was going to order one from Lowe's and it was somewhere around $250. Can't recall if it was a deal but $389 just doesn't seem right for any brand (not even the Hilti costs as much)

    I bought a matabo Brad nailer two years ago, and it won’t drive through even the softest 1x. The instructions don’t say anything about having to buy the special presser gauge that they only sell on eBay to pump it up. Nothing in the owners manual nothing in Menards or anywhere they are sold say that they are a terrible tool chopsaw is OK in the air compressor tools are great. Every single one of the cordless tools are junk.

    Heavily disagree with saying their cordless tools are junk. Are you a diy guy? Because literally everyone in the trades knows you need to get compressed air style guns serviced somewhat regularly. That's across all platforms, not just Metabo HPT.
