Thank you for all the videos. Mia has been a great inspiration for my bengal, Laana. The bingpet looks like the one I use, cirque by RC pets (size XXS) She is an experienced leash walker, has no problem putting it on and shes very comfortable wearing it. It's not escape proof, but Laana is not trying to escape. She is 8 months old and had a thin nylon harness before we got this one last month. PS no clicker, no treats. We worked it out together with love and patience.

I just purchased the Come With Me Kitty harness for my 14# boy. He had no issue with me putting it on. First wearing the harness was loose and I will gradually fit it to him. He walked easily when I tossed treats in front of him. I think this is a really quality harness at a reasonable price. If you are thinking about real hiking this probably wouldn't work, but for me and my cat it's a win.

Oh my thank you so much, I've been looking for a good harness for my Devon Rex. He's just so small in comparison to Mia (2.3 lbs) Love the channel!

I loved your video and your cat is sooooo gorgeous 😻 We have the black one with velcro, but ours has the buckle for the neck and also one for around their belly, which is super convenient. I just wonder if you think that one where the buckle closes on the back is more escape proof? Our main problem is that he doesn't like the feeling of the leash. He sometimes freaks out when he suddenly wants to sprint (and the leash restrains him) meaning we've only went in our garden with him because we don't want him to escape. Thanks for your amazing informative videos! It has encouraged us to harness and leash train our very outdoor loving cat 😁

with xp from my cat it comes with small steps. maybe let her get used to outdoor sounds indoors with the sounds you play of on youtube.. just a little brainwave since youtube also had cat tv's with birds to watch :P

Sometimes if your cat doesn’t want to go outside it’s just their personality! Like if someone was making you do sports if you hate it. :)

@@godavisockaite7775 Come to think of it, you might be right! After all, cats are natural hunters.. maybe the idea of going out to an open space outdoors doesn't suit well for my cat.. she prefers confined indoors full of hiding spots😹

Freya: basic H-type (like the explorer one) Merlin: step-in harness (with velcro strap and safety buckle on back) PK: head-through harness (like the red one shown at 7:55). Though I am trying other/similar ones on him as well, for greater security.

Introduced my cat to the clicker training last night and also put a harness on her to see if she could get used to it. Within an hour, she was able to walk around in it freely and she never tried to get out of it, though she did pout some..LOL She did relax and rest toward the end and did not seem stressed which I think is a plus. Was a pain to put on since the one I had was to put her head through a hole. So I have ordered the PUPTECK one. I figure I will just repeat the process daily of putting a harness on her with a treat reward system until it is nothing to her before I introduce the leash. :-)

I love how your cat just sits there without a care in the world. I wish my boy was this good 😅

Albert, Mia is precious!!! My 2 year old Maine Coon attempts to swat or bite me when I place the pop it harness on. I love this harness for many reason especially because it is so easy to put on. Any suggestion for how to stop the swatting and biting? We are his forever home, but he has had 2 homes before us. He’s been with us for 1.5 months so I’m thinking we still have to get to know each other better. I have other questions for you is this the best place to ask questions or advice?

Great suggestions! My cat loves when I run my backscratcher thru his fur. Purrs like crazy and will MEOOW 😾 (yells) at me when I stop 😹 I love my baby so much I have to brush him until he literally falls asleep otherwise I feel guilty. I also have an extra cell phone that belongs to him. He plays his kitty game apps and loves falling asleep to cat music on KZread. My Aaron is spoiled rotten but I’d do anything for him 😻😿

Clipping a cat claws isn't good for them, it usually makes them feel weak, defenseless and uncomfortable; also makes them unable to climb, or at least really hard for them

@@zathegame declawing cats hurts them. Clipping the nails is a necessity. My cat would destroy my recliners.

Albert, I need your help! Is there a harness you've tested that's good for winter? One that keeps them warm as well.

Just a note to let you know the outdoor bengal harness came yesterday. I did wash it to get the factory smell out. I had been trying to get Starlight used to a harness, but it was s bulky she would sit & only walk when I had a treat & a clicker. I put on the outdoor bengal harness & it was like putting her collar on her. She actually sit while I put it on & walked around like she had nothing on. Thank you so much for a wonderful harness! I was not expecting this. She still has a couple of days before we try outside but I am excited about it now. Is there somewhere that I could do a review on the harness?

Albert, can you make a video on bicycle baskets and how we train our furry family members?

My cat loves going on walks but sometimes he still gets spooked if a car drives by or a kid runs by so I take him out at night time but recently he got really spooked and got out of his harness. He has the explorer one that you mentioned which has the bands around his neck and his stomach so now I’m looking for something that’s a bit thicker and more escape proof. Thanks for the video! Any tips for getting him used to certain noises or things that may startle him?

I would add that cats have a very sensitive fur and vest-style harnesses may have them lying on the floor without any movement. This is because when they feel hugged like that on that much surface they feel as if they were pushed downward from the top and then, they fall down. The cats who accept these harness may feel disoriented for a while and, in my experience, this kind of harness needs much more training than lighter ones. For beginners, I would definitively recommend the expawlorer style: it is easy to put on and off even when the cat hate having something passed above its head, it not so easy to escape from (but there are no harness for cat that is 100% escape proof), and that's the one which covers the less of the sensitive parts of a cat body (around shoulders and belly). I have been walking out with my cats for more than one year now and I never really managed to get them used to the kitty holster or any vest-style harness. I use those when I want them to be totally immobile, when going to the vet for example... For me the first step for difficult cats is the H style harness, with straps as thin as possible. The petsafe harness is the next step and vest-style harnesses, the very last step for cats that are already quite used to wear a harness like Mia. And it is necessary to start at home with a super loose fit, to be tightened a little each time. I am using the petsafe harness for my cats, it works, it is light and cute. I'd like to know what is the arrangement you have done to the upper straps with this little red string. Is it a friction knot to prevent the harness to get loose? For me, I have to regularly readjust the harnesses on my cats because they never pull on the leash, so that the harness never tighten...

Hi is it okay if your cat tries to escape from home even after living with you for 4-5 months or even more. I cry sometimes thinking that it doesn't love me . You inspire me to travel with my cat. I have a tabby but he remains too aloof. And tries to run away from the house. Can you share some tips on how to prevent that?

You must try the Houdini Cat Harness! It’s probably the safest cat harness out there. Training is also extremely important! I have a couple tutorials on my page!

Hi Albert and beautiful Mia. How lucky you are to live in gorgeous barcelona!! You videos are great and really inspiring, but can you help me as I've recently taken on a 2y.o ragdoll female. She's always been an indoor cat but I'd love to take her out n about. She has no concept of road danger. I bought 2 harnesses from Amazon. 1 looks like a mesh covered jacket with Velcro & clips, 1 red that's basically 2 straps for neck & chest. She's not overly bothered by them being on her but was really freaked by the lead hanging down. I know you cant just stride out like with a dog, and I get very upset when I see videos of people thinking its funny to drag a terrified cat along the ground. I've never used a clicker, & she's not very interested in cat treats. What would you recommend to fast-track my cat-buddy to an outdoorsy cat??? I've bought lots of toys too but I'd like to take her places with me!!! Thank u in advance. N❤

Hi Albert, nice video! I ordered the escape proof Harnas the black one with velcro double buckle on Amazon, it came in a size S. It seems a bit small for my cat but the measurements are correct. Hello! Thanks for the appreciation! I use an M size with Mia. I've been using the S but the velcro in the belly was not as tight as I like it, so I got a size up. My recommendation, unless it's very loose, is to use this one until your cat gets used to it and trade up to the PetSafe (advanced harness) to let them get the most out of the time outdoors. Yeah! It's been a while now, so she is super used to it!

So, I have a 6 pound adult cat and I'm having a hard time finding one that fits her. Every vest type one I've bought consumers her and makes her look, and probably feel, like she has a life vest on. I need one that isn't a step-in kind, or one that goes over the head either.. do you have any suggestions for us?

Have you tried supakit? It looks nice and comfortable. But it's pretty pricey and I haven't seen an independent review. So I am debating on getting it.

I used the M size but my reco is that you measure your cat. It's the only way to get it right.

What do you think of using both for a thin Kitty? Mesh first layer and Pet safe over?

Hello! I have to say that you are not alone. For cats that are very nervous, the PetSafe might be a little too thin. Instead of using 2 harnesses, I would use a jacket (less volume) and the harness on top. Also, consider subscribing to our newsletter. We are launching a harness to solve this problem that you mention.

The rule of thumb is to fit two fingers between the harness and the cat´s body. If you can fit more than two fingers comfortably, too loose. If you can´t fit two fingers, too tight.

What do you suggest for kittens? all the harnesses seem to be too big for my cat

I started teaching commands at 12weeks and going outdoors at 14weeks, after all her shots.

I just a got a collar with leash- turns out it isnt good for her. Ill buy the better and safer ones!

Hey Albert, question for you: you say to not let your cat walk infront of you but you also say to have a fairly long leash? Can you explain where your cat should be walking with you and how to get them in that position? Thank you! Love your videos.

In an ideal world, you lead the way and they follow. If they stop for any reason, you can give them leash space so you don’t have to stop every time they do!

The link to your favorite harness doesn't go anywhere. You called it pet safe. It tightens when they pull. When I search PetSafe harness all kinds of options come up. I want to make sure I get the right one. Please advise

You are not the first person to ask this! :) The cat harness that I use is very light yet escape-proof. It has a small chest pad to protect the cat when they pull and a self-restricting mechanism that gently snugs the cat when they try to slip out. The harness is available for sale on: amzn.to/42khwDA

You buy the clicker for dog. It is the same thing and it works perfectly for cats. It works also with pigs and birds, so I think you will have no problem!

I have a video with a few tricks to help them get used to it. The best thing you can do is to create a positive association with food, the second is to help them forget the harness via play time.

My girl Called Jane is stubborn and can get out of any harness! Ill give yours a try. Mia is gorgeous😍

Supikat has the best harnesses, leashes and collars as they are made from a soft leather. Dean from 1Bike1world uses this brand on his kitty Nala. My cats are just now getting use to having the harness on. They are a great quality and worth the money. 🐱💗
