    Awesome content and you should know how much the effort that you put into these is appreciated. The presentation, humour, music feels almost cinematic, and I don't think there's anything publicly available matching your ability to conceptualize the game. These videos I often watch 5 times until I really understand the concepts being taught, which is amazing for a KZread video and I havent even seen much paid content that I need to watch a second time to fully absorb. Really excited for GTOx, any training material you have, and the GTO manual which outlines your concepts further. Keep pushing the boundaries and taking the game further brother!

    When talking about the blocking properties of diamond and spade hands on the turn, I think a bigger reason that the solver doesn't like to bluff them is that they block a lot of the BU's folds in terms of backdoor draws on the flop which didn't realise additional equity. Obviously their unblocking of Kx combos which you mentioned is also very relevant.

  • @FindingEquilibrium

    @FindingEquilibrium

    3 жыл бұрын

    I agree that blocking backdoor floats is not great for barreling but I think blocking the K is more important in this instance since it alters probabilities to a greater degree. If the 7 was a club, the solver still barrels 100% with QTc.

    I always find myself in similar situation as Linus in the hand above. 3bet with a suited Broadway hand get called by a wider range (SB/Btn) and I barrell off Qt, Jt, QJ, T9 combos on this high paired board because of the positive blocker effect. When the flush draw comes on the turn, I randomly decide my own frequency to check v jam (favouring check most of the time). Would this makes sense in the solver? Since we are now blocking the possible missed flush draw on the river, there will be alot of non flush rivers that make our hand vulnerable to betting itself. Secondly if I'm double barreling all the unpaired suited Broadway on this KKxx board, am I bluffing the turn too much possibly or do I just need to have some give ups on the river? Lastly if we double barrell some Jx combos which then river a pair, do we stop turning our hand into a bluff? Can we jam for value with AJ (if we barreled it otf & ott?) V can still have 88,99,TT and weaker Jx hands that would have called flop and turn. Hope to hear response from the master himself, or anyone who care to jump in. Cheers AbBad

  • @FindingEquilibrium

    @FindingEquilibrium

    3 жыл бұрын

    It's hard to answer in a vacuum without knowing the exact board and the general ranges of both players. What I will say is that you also should take note of unblocker effects. For example, does your AJ block some of his missed straight draws or high card hands? If so, this mitigates some of the value of the blocker effects (though you still may want to bluff it depending on whether you have better bluff candidates in your range). What I do personally is I try to envision the best and worst combos in my range when it comes to blocking villain's strongest hands and unblocking his weakest hands. I will then bluff the best combos and give up on the worst combos. For my hands in the middle, it will often largely depend on the street, size of the bet and range matchup.

  • @arvindbadsha3356

    @arvindbadsha3356

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@FindingEquilibrium I only recently learned the value of unblockers through your channel. If incorporating unblockers on the board analysed above, would some combos of 8x and 9x be good combos to include in our flop bluff range, since they block bluffcatchers such as 88,k8,78,99,97,k9? Since the turn came a 7 and draws are revolving around 5x,6x,8x,9x, if the river bricks, like a J, do we then not choose to bluff these combos that were bet on flop/turn because they consist many combos of V missed straight draws, such 68s, 89s, 46s, 69s and thus have a negative unblocker effect? Just say, I 3bet 64s as part of my polarised 3bet strategy. Is it a standard line to take if I were to double barrell and give up on the river? This always confuses me, Im not sure if I'm supposed to bluff all non SD hands on the river or it is ok to have some give ups? Appreciate you taking the time to reply these comments. You are doing gods work imo 😂

    Hi FE - first of all thanks for the amazing content. I've been using an exploitative strategy for years but just now getting into GTO and still learning much of the underlying theory and trying to wrap my head around these concepts. In this video you speak about EV regret and even after a Google search I can't seem to find any info about it. Would it be possible to quickly explain what that is? If anyone could give a quick rundown of it that would be much appreciated.

  • @FindingEquilibrium

    @FindingEquilibrium

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks. You won't find it on the internet because I invented this term :). For each available action, EV Regret calculates the maximum amount of EV the player to act would lose as a percentage of the pot if he simplified his strategy and decided to take that action with 100% of the class of hands he has selected. So, for example, if the user filtered the dashboard just for hands that were second pair with a backdoor flush draw and the EV regret for betting 1/2 pot with this class shows as 0, it means that instead of examining each individual combo in this class, the user could just bet 1/2 pot with all such hands and he would not lose in expectation against a GTO opponent. If you watch other videos on solvers, you will often hear people talk about how much EV they lose by taking an action for a particular combo as a sort of measure of how big of a leak it is to take that line - EV Regret greatly simplifies this process by doing all of these calculations automatically depending on which class of hands the user selects.

    You mean the graph? I'm not sure exactly what program Limitless uses, but similar products include pokertracker and holdem manager.

    And one more thing if someone is that confident and haven't proved themselves live, for sure i am not playing them online as they mught be cheating or something. Don't know whether limitless has done similar things live.

    trust me, poker rooms can detect third party programs (pokerstars literally bans u for using equilab) they also use GTO programs, and if they see that you are playing almost like a solver, they’ll find it.

    @@milkbottle7795 True for third party software, but if you write your own it would be difficult for them to figure it out. Also collusion is possible online. For the two reasons of player assistance software and collusion I would stick to live play unless only micro stakes for practice..
