Mine was The Balboa on 5th but they couldn't survive covid ( really miss that dive ) Eastbound in lakeside has good burgers and great atmosphere. They always filled every seat pre covid

@@Jaycation it does suck, eastbound's food is still good but doesn't have the same atmosphere I enjoyed pre-covid. With that said I'd rather you hit it up post covid to get the full experience but I'm sure they would appreciate the business now... dammit this sucks!

@@bradl4761 They have a location in Chula Vista that is open. My guess is they will have a second ( or I guess third) location open in a few years somewhere in downtown once we get back to normalcy. I believe the Chula Vista spot is called Balboa South.

I like the shorter 5 min or so videos. I would love to see more spots in San Diego. I visit next month!!

Omgaaa. Making me hungry, while I’m eating a protein waffle, turkey bacon an egg sandwich. I’m not a burger girl but when we visited San Diego, I tried so many fish tacos. My goal is to get healthy and visit San Diego for my 50th birthday, April 29th!!

Hey! I love burgers and I haven't tried them all. If I can make a recommendation, my favorite burger at the moment is @ "The Draft" in oceanside. This is excluding any chain burger spots because I love my IN & Out. Also I do love Hodads, but since I live in North County and don't want to drive miles away. The "Draft" burger is my jam. Never disappointed me. FYI, did you know you still had the label/stickers on your tshirt? lmao. I have another spot a little north of San Marcos. I will let you know only if you ask lol.

@@Jaycation Nessy Burgers in Fallbrook. Yeah I know, not SM but north of it lol. I believe they are right off I-15. I went there once. From what I remembered, they were pretty good.

The food in San Diego when I visited was by far AMAZING! 😋👍🏽

@@Jaycation I would have to say the Mexican restaurants there are my fav tbh. When I was there for the weekend thats pretty much what my girlfriends and I had. We have mexican restaurants here in Vancouver but they’re okay something about the Mexican food in SD it’s just way more flavoured and authentic. BUT we went to this place called “World Famous” or something on pacific beach and I remember having this Cali or the famous burger and that was pretty good! But I think my all time favourites would be the taco shops 😋. “The taco stand” in La Jolla was my favourite! Best Baja fish tacos! Also this place called “tacos el gordo”. An uber driver recommended that as we wanted to try authentic tacos so he took us there lol and it was really good too! But the next time I come down there I’ll have to try more of the burger joints 🙃.

Chicago Fire Grill in UTC has the best burger in SD. They give you a half lb burger with quality meat, fries and a beer for $10 bucks. I'm addicted.

The best burger in San Diego is at Mr. Peabodys in mission valley. Best bloody Maria in San Diego as well.

Try taste of Chicago grill on market ave. Mushroom Swiss is on par with the favor.

You should try the NESSY BURGER. One of the best in San Diego.

My recommendation is Ty's Burger House in Oceanside which has a gamut of burgers ranging from such staples as Classic to California, to Bacon Mac & Cheese or you can go for a wild game burgers - Buffalo, Elk, Venison or Lamb. Also there is a great selection of beers

While not a craft burger, every time I would drive to San Diego from AZ I would stop in Yuma for Freddy’s Steakburgers. Turns out they have one in National City. Better than Shake Shack and In N Out imo.

My in n out order Double Double Whole Grilled Onion No Spread Sauce Extra Lettuce Extra Tomato Add Pickle Ask for Spread packet on the side as well as mustard and ketchup. :)

If you have not tried a Burger @ Mish Mash in Barrio Logan then you are missing out. It is my favorite spot for a burger and the truffle fries are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Not sure if you heard of it but everybody east County SD knows about Brody's burgers that's my spot

The Friendly is yummy! It was so juicy ~ and yummy

It's the best Smash/flat top burger in San Diego, and probably the only one in San Diego. Los Angeles has 3 smash burger spots that I know of, "Burgers Never Say Die" in SIlver Lake, "Goldburger" in Highland Park, and "Easy Street" burgers in East Hollywood. Best regular burger in San Diego to me is still Balboa Bar and Grill.

@@Jaycation oinkster isn’t bad. I feel their quality has gone down over the years, I do love their ube shake tho! Best burger for me in la when it comes to backyard style/regular burger would be hawkins house of burgers in south central LA, and also hiho burgers in Santa Monica. Belcampo at the grand central market is also pretty tasty

For the price they are charging I’ll stick with the best, In-N-Out. In-N-Out let’s you make modifications and dude, Hodads is completely overated.
