one thing that isn't mentioned often is the garmin warranty support, it's excellent - something to think about
very helpful! I'm thinking of buying the iGS630. I currently have a iGS 320 - it's basic but it works!
thank you, your videos are so helpful, comparing different models.
Only a week ago I got the Garmin 530. Best thing about it is the Strava live segments and it automatically scyns with Strava after the ride. Paid €200. Pretty good value for money.
I use Edge 830 which is a great combination of size and functions. Appreciate that possiblity to connect different sensors such as powermeter. And ecosystem of course
tnx for the info..keep it up 👍
I got into gravel riding recently and I have used the same I used to carry on my road bike, my garmin watch for performance information and my phone with Komoot for maps and routes. I just bought the iGS630 because on gravel the rides take much longer and I was running out of battery. It has some other stuff I can use like climbs info, and connects to all the performance sensors I have.
Thanks for the detailed introduction of the LoveMTB, and you can contact us at any time if you have any questions.
Thanks for your videos. I really enjoy them. I’ve been rocking the edge 530 for over 2 years now. I can attest to the fact that their warranty is top notch. I had a bad crash about 4 months back where part of the mount on the 530 broke. They replaced the unit with one that was revised with a beefier mount at no cost to me and not even shipping costs. BTW, I also use the auto stop/start feature on the Garmin.

@@LoveMTB their reasoning was they now incorporate some metal inside the plastic mount thus making it beefier.

Nice, a small music clip from Stephen the Levite's song "The First Missionary"! Thank you for a great video!! I'm still researching if I want to upgrade to this one or go all out for a Garmin or Wahoo.

Do you really need to go ‘all out’? These ‘basic’ devices are probably all you need 🤨
Great review! One quick question for mtb or bikepacking: does it show topographic maps with elevation marks and hillshades to let the rider understand where there are hills, and what to expect next on the route?
Отличный обзор и сравнение. 👍
I use the Sigma Rox 10.0 for a lot of years now.
buddy.ow u doing?. Thank you,stunning job-see ya!~
HI, good review! Where did you buy and price? Thank you.
I had the igs618 for a few years and it was well featured but a lousy battery life. This new model looks physically and feature wise much better. The blood think about Garmin is a local warranty service and cases, screen and battery are easy to buy for the 530.
The product in Amazon warehouse is actually has built in Canadian map so no need to download manually.
Thank you for the comparison report. I use the Garmin 1000 which I'm told by Garmin is absolete. Downloading maps from RWGPS is easy, but sometimes my Garmin fails mirerably in keeping me on Route. I came across igs360, as I was looking for a GPS ,cycling computer that won't break my bank account. I ride, road, multi day bike rider who cycles across many states and countries. How reliable is igs 360 on uploading maps and navigation??
Bom dia quando eu puder fala sobre o ciclo computador Briton. Obrigado parabéns pelo canal
How does this compares to the karoo2? Any idea? Would love to see a comparison, clearly this one had a much better battery life...
Great review! Will the Igps reroute if you take the wrong turn.? Thanks!

Good question! I'll ask my daughter, she uses it.
I have the Edge 530 but that's mainly because I have other Garmin devices (like a couple of Garmin watches and heart rate straps) and like their Garmin Connect app. If I had to buy a second bike computer with GPS/navigation, I'll opt for something cheaper.

@@LoveMTB yes, I bet there's a hefty price jump. Thankfully, the 530 has most features a casual rider like me would ever need. I still see a lot of professional roadies and XC mountain bikers rocking the 530 in competitions. To be totally honest, I think even the Edge 130 Plus would have been totally fine for me 😁

@@frustratedalien666 We have both, only reason I got the 530 is the bigger screen for my ahing eyes 😁
Hi, I have an 830 and I'm really thinking in replace by 530. I always ride with gloves, and the garmin touch screen is not perfect. Do you know if I will lose features with the downgrade?
The tricky thing here is that Garmin will sell you a rerfub Edge 1030 with warranty for $250. Take a chance on this new entrant, or get something much more powerful with Garmin support for $100 more?
Can you mention more about details and off road marking on the IGS gps. I am looking for my first affordable gps, but I basically go to remote areas mostly, thus off roads are really important. I can not believe that there are no off road markings on the IGS as it is a bike gps and has newest sattelite sensitivity
@LoveMTB

It doesn’t have the details of Garmin that’s for sure. As for the remote areas if they are in Trailforks they are on Garmin unfortunately not on IGS
Create tool. Bought mine based on your youtube review.Ty. Do you have any recommendations for a heart rate/beat monitor which is compatible with the 630? Sadly i cant pair my watch as sensor, neither let strava join the heart beat data to the track data recorded by the 630
@larkinizedgaming

Doesent any ANT+ sensors work? As speed, cadense and heart rate sensors?
I have been looking at some of these cycling computers for MTB. I just want Trail Forks functionality on a cycle computer. I don't really think I'll use the other stuff. I don't care too much for the TomTom looking GPS's and the reviews don't event really say how accurate the trail maps are.
for the money I think an excellent navigator
How igs630 in comparison vs Bryton 750?
Is it possible to load other maps on the device beside the ones officially provided on their pages? I know its OSM based so it could be an option if works to upload another, detailed OSM map. I like the maps on Garmin but it also misses so much data that could be included in "custom" OSM maps (although Garmin based on that as well).

Garmin 1030
I don't use a GPS computer. I use my phone when needed. GPS computers and even Google don't have most of the trails I ride anyway.
After my second Garmin Edge 520 died unexpectedly I decided to try something different - the Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt instead of the Garmin 530. Boy! I'm glad I did. kzread.infoUgkxXZCtB-wGdHVTBSz8RswePK5vllHNi06N The display on the Wahoo Bolt is much easier to read. I like the configuration of the display more (up to 7 items visible on page 1 without scrolling and the first item chosen is larger characters than the next 3 rows that have pairs of items (still very readable). I also like the configurable item selections. The Bolt synced with my Garmin ANT+ Speed sensors on both bikes easily so no additional investment was required there. While the rated battery life is a couple hours less than the Garmin 520/530, I easily get a weeks worth of 1+ hour rides before recharging (and it's never really low on charge). At the end of a ride syncing to the Wahoo app, Strava, and Apple Health app is painless.

When I had a Garmin, it consistently under reported distance than actual know distances. I know others that have had the same results sometimes by as much as 15%. Therefore they are a no go IMHO. Tried another competitor to Garmin, that while better with distance, easily lost connection, and still under reported distance, but still better than Garmin.

I see the usual trend, selling you half a computer plus offering an app so you can't use half the features if you have a flip-phone. If I have to buy a new phone to use the thing properly, I'll just use the damned phone for everything.
Naah! Unihertz Jelly 2 or Atom - da best !!!

You buy a GPS gadget because you want it to work as a navigator but unfortunately the iGS630 only works with off line maps. All the other functions are pure useless garbage.

Can't really believe I'm telling this, but I actually don't like this review. For me it seams more like an advertisement. there is no direct comperison of functionality. Garmin is good not because of gps coverage or ant+. garmin is about software. And this comperison is nothing without functionality comperison. Does it measure air time? Does it have climb graphs on display so you can plan you effort all the way through an uphill? and threre are much more questions. I think there are a lot of "similar" gears on the market. But in reality it's only Wahoo, Garmin and "others"
