As someone who has a S5 and a iPhone 12 Pro Max. I feel like if I want the best cinematic image then the S5 for sure blows everything out of the water doing everything manually. However simple run and gun videos or vlogs and stuff iPhone is the most convenient thing to just shoot and get the shot and have it still look good in my opinion loved the video

Appreciate the info! Felt like I seemed to rush in a lot of areas, but 100% agree with you! Definitely geared towards different use cases, but it's really nice that nowadays even pulling out your phone using certain apps like FilmicPro in scenarios where it would take longer or don't have a camera can get great results in such short time! Obviously love the S5s dynamic range and color which will be used more, but having the 13 Pro Max really can come in handy! :)
Very very cool
Do know that $1800 smart phone may have better specs but it doesn’t look as good do to the major phone brands using there advanced imaging pipe line.

Yep great call out! Definitely major issue with phone companies not truly being able to properly utilize the sensor to get the best image possible. One of the many reasons to why phones won't be able to replace DSLR/Mirrorless anytime in the near future.
