That was the best detailed and accurate review of the AKASO BRAVE 7 on KZread, hands down!!! I have the entry level EK 7000, but I am looking to upgrade to either the Brave 7 or the Brave 7 LE. Also, after doing some research I found the AKASO 50 Elite to be a great option as well! Alex, out of the 3 for mentioned action cameras, which one would you give the highest rating for performance, reliability, quality and overall best bang for the buck? Hello! I haven't tested the Brave 7 LE or the V50 Elite myself but I believe the Brave 7 LE is a slightly lower version than the 7 and the V50 has no front screen. I believe the 7 shoots better quality but that's just from seeing other reviews since I haven't tested them myself. Hope that helps!

I'm debating on this or a earlier version go pro....what would u get

is it possible to use it to go in live streaming ? in pair with my smartphone, using that with streamlabs/prism and with the hotspot mobile data on . i need to go live on twitch

Hey. Good detailed review. On your comment about the cage , that’s definitely a bit of an issue. The brave 7 I got developed a crack at the left hinge where the back piece connects to the main part of the cage. Akaso is not very helpful for either the brave 7 or the 8 for that matter. They will not sell you the cage nor will they replace it as they do not have it as a replaceable part. You have to buy the waterproof case and have no audio or have to buy a whole new unit. This is where being a GoPro or a DJI Osmo would be better as there are plenty of 3rd party cases available. Also depends on how much you pay for the brave 7. I managed to convince Akaso to let be but a whole new unit for 50% off ( $115 CAD discount ). At that price it’s worth trying again for me. I was that close in picking up an Osmo but it would have been $350 CAD after taxes.

Yes you're right. Akaso should offer the frame and the side door for sale. The bigger names like the GoPros definitely would have no issues when it comes to third party accessories, but Akaso will. Down the line people will need more batteries too, and maybe a replacement lens. Ultimately the Brave 7 might be replaced by it's users when these things fail. Thanks for watching, and cheers! =)

Hi there, I don't have experience with the V50 Elite so I don't know what the problem is with your audio. I assume you've tried different camera settings and accessories and environments? Hope it gets fixed soon.

I would rather buy the akaso brave 6 plus if not phase out or akaso V50 X

The image is so soft that it looks like a plastic film is covering the lens. The reality might be it’s just upscaled 1080p to 4k shenanigans from Akaso (again).

1. There's a very short 1080p60 clip at 22:44 but rendered at 30fps for the upload. But, I'll record a new 1080p60 sample for you, give me a few hours. =) 2. Yes it can record while charging.

Does this camera support ‘night vision’? Can anyone comment whether I can use as a personal protection while walking attachment? How would one mount to your person? Can it be worn as a secret camera? Any help would be much appreciated.

In my opinion I’ll just save the money and go for a more premium cameras like the GoPro or DJI, if budget gets in the way there is always used Cameras that is fairly priced

The Akaso Brave 7 sound recording is low. Which microphone are you using for this Akaso Brave7 for recording when indoor and outdoor usage to boost the sound level higher?

I only use the internal mics on all of the sample shots except for the one with external mic.

I was reading on Aliexpress that with the case it does not record the audio, is that true?

Yeah I think I know where that "rumor" came from. The PDF manual I downloaded has a note: "The camera does not record sound when it is in the waterproof case." So I think it just means if you buy the sealed waterproof case it won't pick up any audio. The open air case definitely records audio for me even when inside the frame. I think that lead to a misunderstanding that it doesn't record audio, especially on the earlier variants when the microphone was so very quiet. Anyway, cheers! =)
