    I recently purchased this tool after watching several comparison videos of the different flaring tools out there. This one is excellent and worth the investment. It is very easy to use and can make an excellent flare the first time that you use it. It also makes flaring a line that is still on the vehicle much easier than anything else out there that I could find. This wonderful tool is like an investment in your sanity if you repair and fabricate a lot of brake lines.

    There are two 3/16 dies that go into the press. These would be the dark colored small dies. One is labeled 3/16 DIN, and the other is labeled 3/16 OP1. Make sure the correct one is being used for the type of flare you want. This is an awesome tool. I have four that my students use to learn how to flare brake lines. This is an excellent video sir.

    Thanks for the tip! I think it is an outstanding tool as well. However, be sure to store it in warm temperatures because the hydraulic fluid doesn't flow if it's cold outside.

    It may be the best and it better be because it's also 5x the price of the Titan tool that can do the exact same job for way less money.

    Thanks for the review. FYI, the Eastwood flare press is around $289 and has dies for almost every line on the car...

    What happens if you "go to far" with the pumping?

  • @josesaldana9252

    @josesaldana9252

    In my experience nothing. It just stops and won't let you pump. 12 year professional mechanic here. 1st and 2nd shop I worked at had top of the line (at the time) hydraulic flaring sets. I hated them because they would grip the line so tightly it would gouge it and you'd have to use a piece of 3M or whoever scrubby pad to get the fitting to the flare. This is a tool I wish I had bought before it was invented. For flaring brake lines this is the better mousetrap and requires damn near zero skill. Add $150 to the price for the optional adapters if you're a professional. When you open it grab a paint pen color code the adapters and dies. I also recommend taking a black sharpie with a wide tip and paint the raised letters surface to make the markings easier to read

    I made it @1:03 in to the video before I found the tool online and saw the price.... Yikes. And here I was complaining about how expensive the Eastwood flaring tool was. This thing is 50% more and you'll never convince me it's 50% better.

    @@chuckb9867 Thanks for the heads up. That's the first negative feedback I've heard about nickel-copper. I'll keep it in mind in the future. For what it's worth, I've been replacing the back lines in my '02 2500 Cummins with stainless pre-made. I used a bit of nickel-copper for the long line until I have time, and ambition, to remove the fuel tank.
