I liked the stormbox blast this year but as the last couple years I’m enjoying my motion boom plus , stormbox blast , srs Xg300.

When I saw the title of the video, I decided to put on my bluetooth headphones so I could better check the sound quality and compare them, what was my surprise when I saw this video 🤣 yes, I kept them on to hear the effects and the laughter in perfect stereo. Great as always, Alan. Also in this case 🤣

Your reviews are really helpful, thanks! I'd like some advice. I'm a huge basshead, I mostly want a speaker that's going to wow me with edm, hiphop, dubstep, etc. I probably really like the V signature, I like my music to sound very exciting. I also want something I'll be able to use with low latency for gaming/beat pads, so if I can do that without an aux then no problem. Size wise I'd want it to fit in my backpack so Wildbox/Motionboom sizing and smaller. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

@@alanrossreviews Yes but the bass on the encore sounds like a proper 8" subwoofer at the right frequencies that why I got 2 of them plus in my testing the Encore essential sounded clearer than the Tribit. Tribit = Best overall for battery and mids. Encore = Best for Deep bass and clarity

Are you able to compare the soundcore Rave Neo 2 SE. For some reason I can't seem to find any in depth reviews on the "SE" version from Costco. One thing I noticed is the Rave Neo 2 SE does not support TWS (only party cast 2.0). Greatly appreciate it. Happy New year. Good videos you have. Very informative.

To honestly there has not been a better speaker / BOOMBOX killer than the brookstone big blue party the 1st gen that thing bumpsss and sound so nice unfortunately they are discontinued but still can find em used

Hi :) I have an interesting question for a speaker recommendation: I currently have a Tribit Stormbox Blast and a Minirig 3 + Subwoofer 2 system (i.e. 1.1). The MiniRig are great for "closed rooms", but if you want to listen to electronic music outside at a fun volume, you simply reach your bass limits for me and the Tribit simply knocks out a whole lot more bass. However, the Tribit also weighs 5.5 kilos and is much larger...but a soundcore Anker Motion Boom Plus, for example, again has too little bang for me... I'm looking for the golden middle for myself, what else I can hang on a backpack because I often walk or ride my bike, so not too big and heavy. Just a speaker that you can always take with you without a headache, but which also sounds great (more bass than the 1.1 system from MiniRig). I don't really care about the price, it can also cost 1000€, for example I had the Devialet Mania for a mere 800€, but it failed miserably in the outdoor test (but great part indoors). I'd be really happy if you gave me a few ideas or if you said that what I want doesn't work technically, that's ok too, of course ^.^ (If it sizewise stays below the JBL Extreme it would be really cool, but I'm just curious what you suggest) Kind regards Philip

i dont have the budget for the high end speakers so cannot comment on that. is there a reason you dont want a full 2.2 minirig system? there is no great answer here, its all trade-offs, size, weight, battery, quality.....the motion boom plus might be something to look at, a pair of those might fit the bill for weight, volume, price.

its all tradeoffs, you could get the bb2 for deeper bass, but heavier and less tunefull.

Just bought a Soundcore Motion Plus for $70, Amazon Black Friday deal. Liked it enougn to buy a second while the sale is still on. Wow, two paired together sound amazig! The differrence is really night and day, so much more immersive with the stereo seperation (obviously this is gonna be the case with most speakers). For anybody out there with just one thinking about getting a second, do it! By the way Alan, it was your video about upgrading from the Doss Soundbox XL to the Motion Plus that really prompted me to to get it, thanks! I've had the Doss for years and liked it but yeah the Soundcore is definitely an upgrade. A little added benefit is the Soundcore is the perfect height in front of my tv without blocking the screen at all. Don't have to move it every time I watch tv and of course if I ever wanted to use them as a sound bar......

Actually, all joking aside lol...the speaker I've found myself using the most for some time now is the Tribit Xsound Mega. For a non-stereo speaker it has ridiculously full, rich sound and it stays nicely balanced at all volume levels (a problem with many bigger BT speakers). It's also on sale often for really low price.

I listened to my charge 5 for a couple of hours today. From jazz to hip-hop to solo piano tracks to ballads, this speaker is amazing. Every song was clear, detailed, had depth and solid, solid bass. I am an official JBL fanboy now.

Also watched your video about the Motion Boom being king. Don't care about portability, only gonna listen to it at low to moderate levels in my bedroom. Is the Motion Boom overkill for bedroom use? Thanks for this video Alan 🙏🏽. Me personally in my own opinion, I’ve found that the Earfun UBoom L is the best speaker of 2023, and can rival a proper “Hifi” setup. Honestly I was so wrong about it 🤦🏽‍♂️ When I go outdoors I feel the Blast doesn’t get too loud for me, and I have to use to UBoom L’s in stereo to get proper party loudness.

If you want the best bang for your buck in earbuds grab the tozo nc7 2022... got em two weeks ago for 39.99 came to 42.93 and haven't touched my soundcore liberty 3 pro,liberty 4, samsung galaxy buds 2 pro , tinhifi tinbuds 3, or my status between 3 anc. These have absolutely changed everything I've known about earbuds and I've owned almost all of em since 2019. These have the best battery life of all of em, tied for loudest volume with between 3 anc and liberty 4 have phenomenal anc amd transparency plus their app is as good as soundcores cannot recommend these enough

Number 2 or 3 today greetings Alan. No favorite speaker

Its a shame i read your last message first. It kinda ruined the genuine contribution you could have made to the channel. Let me just say this, the passive cannot play frequencies the woofer is not playing. Sure you can tune it lower but it will be weak if not at the woofer roll off. Perhaps you leapt on some one liner i said in a video but coming to the conclusion i dont understand passive radiators is very silly.

@@alanrossreviews I'm not saying the radiator plays something the woofer is incapable of driving. I'm saying it can play well lower than the woofers roll off. That's the point of a port or passive radiator. If the woofer starts it's standard sealed box roll off at say 100hz, you can tune the box and port or passives to say, 60hz, and get that gained output down low from the port/passives. This is how they are used in all proper applications. To extend the response below the natural rolloff. Example: kef ls50. Woofer plays to ~100hz sealed. Port is tuned to 50hz, for a knee'd bass shelf response from 100hz-50hz, where the port is now the dominant driver of output to its tuning frequency, then falls off more rapidly than sealed due to phasing below tuning. Bad example, Wilson audio tune tot. Woofer plays to 90hz just fine, and they centered the port tuning right at 100hz to create a huge bump up in the bass response centered around 100hz. I meant no disrespect or anything in my first comment, but it seems you think(from listening to videos) passive radiators are driven directly by the driver and roll off with it. They don't, that's not the point. Not if correctly implemented anyway. That's all I wanted to add 🤙
