I've never seen a banana pudding with that texture before. Honestly it looks delicious. Personally I'd prefer a banana pudding with a homemade pudding instead of store bought pudding mix, because the instant pudding is usually too sweet to me.

Instant pudding is nasty but stove top boxed pudding mix is delicious. Often, better than homemade.

Hey Lisa, a suggestion. It’s the Hong Kong Style toast. Basically you take a bread and toast it. After that, generously add Peanut Butter on the bread. After that drizzle Condensed Milk as much you’d like. There’s a French toast version, here you just stack 3 slices of bread with peanut butter. Then you cover it with the usual egg mixture and fry in a pan with butter. Then you drizzle condensed milk. Sorry if there are mistakes here, english isn’t my first language.

The most memorable part of Magnolia Bakery is the smell of all the sweets. I’m surprised you didn’t mention it.

She shouldve came up to the bronx ans supported a BLACK owned bakery or spanish bakery. All shes doing is help Magnolia pay their outrageous rent bill. They dont even make their vanilla wafers from scratch. Support BLACK owned! Support minority! Flushing has some of the best asian bakerys in new york if that ticklea ya fancy as well. Screw magnolia.

Yes!!!! Back when I used to work in nyc I worked near Lexington ave and 3rd and around there was an Bloomingdales and a magnolia bakery inside. For special occasions during my lunch break I would buy it and wait until I got home late I had it as a special treat 😭

i love anything banana flavored. I feel like there are way too many people who hate on banana flavored things but I actually like them

Fun Fact - Banana flavoring was made decades ago from bananas that are no longer here. That's why it tastes different from an actual banana

I hate most banana flavored stuff but love banana pudding. If it actually tastes like banana (banana pudding, Tokyo bananas) and not like chemicals I like it. :) but most banana flavored stuff tastes like chemicals to most people.

That is definitely a first. I know so many people who hate banana flavored things, that It's super rare to find someone who LIKES it. I personally hate it, especially in candies-- but I definitely wouldn't mind trying banana pudding at least once in my life. I wish they weren't so rare to find where I'm from.

I love banana pudding too. Especially with homemade custard/pudding and meringue. Using half and half in place of the milk on the Nilla cookies recipe box makes all the difference. Very rich. :). Love your videos Lisa. I am Lisa also, from the Eastern part of North Carolina. BBQ rules around here!

Fun fact for those not from the south , southerners freaking love Bannana pudding, I dont think I've ever been to any sort of get together or put luck type thing without it.

I had it from the Magnolia Bakery in DC's Union Station. It's not my auntie's banana pudding, but it was delicious. Top 5, coming from a banana pudding aficionado! That Magnolia Bakery is permanently closed now though. C0vid took it!

As I go along the shorts, I’m introduced to Lisa’s shorts to make me hungry. The KZread algorithm is genius.Very efficient. 10/10 would recommend.

I’m from SC and I love Lisa but when she said “hands down best Banana pudding I ever had at a bakery in NYC” my heart nearly stopped. I could hear my ancestors screaming 😂

This budding looks like it's made with instant banana pudding jello or mix. I make my father's recipe and I yet to taste a B. pudding that compares. No instant pudding mix when it comes to my father's recipe. I'm so grateful that I remembered the recipe by making it with him. When I make one now, the beautiful memories of what a gifted blessing my father was to me...to our family.

I’m from the South, and if it’s not made totally from scratch and then cooked in the oven, it’s not real banana pudding IMO. The kind made from a box of pudding mix is NOT the real deal. I will say that what she was eating looked really good, but I would have to taste it myself to know if it was authentic or not.

Yes I love the one in Chicago. I use to work at 105 W Madison and we would go there at least once a week. They aren't famous for that banana pudding for nothing.

I work for a black owned bbq in Florida called Ibarbeque express. This guy who runs The Altem Life youtube channel does a "best places to eat in Florida" series and he came in and ate there and had our banana pudding for dessert with his meal. Ours is sooooo good as well, probably made the same way. Ms. Rose makes everything homemade. She's added a peach cobbler recently and that flies out of the kitchen as well. So good.

Their recipe is so easy to make also. It's online. The difference I remember is they whip vanilla pudding and heavy cream to make a whip cream pudding thing.
