parking in a handicap spot is a misdemeanor in michigan. It should be a week in jail. seriously, there isn't one handicapped person in the world that wouldn't gladly give up their spot to be able to walk a mile in a parking lot.

Word of caution re: handicap parking. Please make sure you look Inside the vehicle before doing anything. After my husband's stroke he was in a wheelchair for 4 months. The temporary placard they gave us was cheaply made and lasted 8 trips. On the 9th trip I parked at the physical therapy center, put the placard up, and when we came back there was a pink slip under the windshield wiper and the placard was on the floor. We ended up wasting 3 hours of our time waiting to prove we had the placard, and that it just fell off. They still charged us $10 even after admitting that happens all the time. I duct taped that f'er up after that. One would think they'd make something you're supposed to remove before driving and put up when parking a bit sturdier . . ..

Yesterday, I watched a video of a tiller truck for fire stations driving in the tightest spaces with no damage to the truck or surrounding vehicles, and that truck is far more bigger than the cars here. Some of the drivers in this video should watch that video.

Towtrucker Johnny is the best..he loves handicapped parking cheaters..if you go to Atlanta, and you park in a handicapped spot, you might get the opportunity to meet the TOWTRUCKER....

Just so you know… private property parking lot like at Wal-Mart, Costco, or malls, even with painted lines designating parking spaces, you are not required to park in those spaces. The only place you cannot park is where it’s designated parking for disabled or as a fire lane for emergency vehicles. And no one can evict you from that parking spot except a representative of the property owner empowered to do so for trespassing. Public road curbs are like public lots. First come first served as the laws allowed.

Unless states so in your local municipality laws, a parking lot is just that. A parking lot. The only actual law is Emergency Vehicles and Handicap. Put it this way. You hit a parked car in a parking lot, no matter where it’s parked, it’s automatically your fault. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

If the cement truck, filling the car was not just a set up for the video but actually "revenge" the cement truck guy is an asshole, stupid, it cost him the cement and it should cost him the "repair" of the car, probably not possible so replacement value of the car. I don't know what country they are in or what their laws are but even in the worst countries I would assume it is illegal to just destroy other people's property

In 2018, a married couple posted themselves on social media towing a disabled old guy's truck because they claimed they could not get out of the parking spot. And they were justified because the man's parking meter had expired. They couple were laughing in the video. They messed up the man's transmission. The male was charged with damaging property but guess what? The charges were dropped after 2 years.

Secondly, at least in Ontario, you have to park 5 ft from any driveway or access point (If someone has no driveway, how is an ambulance crew supposed to get to the residence?) Also in Ontario, the Highway Traffic Act says that if you have a driveway or parking spot (Off the roadways) then you must use it AT ALL TIMES! Besides, it's a public roadway so anyone can park wherever they want (As long as it's within parking regulations, of course)

I agree this is a public street and if it is you don't own the street in front of your house. I know one place where the homeowners do actually own the street, the city said they would not be installing or maintaining the street when the homes were build, so each homeowner had to purchase the land in front of their house to the mid point in the street then pay for everything involved with the street directly in front of their property, so it is now a private street and each homeowner has the right to tow any car parked in front of their house. And what tow truck driver leaves his truck in neutral and no parking brake on. Also he looked to cubby to chase her down several blocks on foot. Before she could drop the suv off his truck and dive away with his truck in an intersections.

I get problems like this too. I used to work for a garbage company, going from house to house, and people park their vehicles right in front of the garbage that we're supposed to pick up. When that happens I put the garbage cans in front and behind their vehicle do inconvenience them as they inconvenienced us.
