I’m refreshing my b5 1.8t . I got the bigger side intercooler from apikol. all the maintenance is done down to a new brake fluid reservoir. I got a new stigan turbo k03 and am just lightening the car where I can . The turbo is performing well with no problems. The car runs tip top and I’m very proud of how quick it’s become . You’ve been giving me motivation to keep up the work with your videos

Is the turbo loud tho? I'm tryna get a turbo for my 1.8 that sounds like a jet engine spooling up

It has been awesome to see what you have done and how far your car has come! I have been following you since the first S4 video when you trailered it home. I have a B5 S4 with a bunch of similar mods, but still follow your channel. I am really looking forward to when you get the new turbos! Awesome videos man!

Love it. Fellow Washington B5 S4, also maxed out stage two. Need to install coilovers but while competent, i don’t have the tools to get it done properly. Same goes for the 1-2 Shift collar. Great content brotha

All the way from Capetown south Africa here we done have the b5 s4 only the base model a4 I have been a bmw owner for the pass 7 years and recently found a liking in the a4 b5 model and watching this video I made up my mind next. Car I'm saving up for is audi only problem I hate front wheel drive car skids is life 😅😂😂

Getting mines all back in shape. I need a few interior trim pieces and the factory airbox. I got the car with the oem one deleted. My biggest headache tho is the radio. For whatever reason its stuck and I can't remove it. I apparently have a ground fault somewhere in the wiring harness to it causing com issues with my obd port and a/c controls. The fuse on the drivers side dash keeps immediately blowing. Other than that the car is great! K04's and supported mods coming soon! Great video!!!

I have the B5.5 Passat with 4mtotion, AWM 1.8T and 5 speed manual, all OE and only 117K miles. Love my car.

If you have the sport optioned seats in the A4 they have large bolsters, the standard ones dont. I went and brought a bunch of CD's to put in the stacker because i want to keep the interior as it came factory, this is the first car i haven't ripped the stereo out of immediately haha.

Not going to expect much for the 2.8, but should be a good watch as usual.

Most everything other than the turbo related stuff will apply! Physically the 2.8 is pretty similar to the 2.7 without the turbos. Everything suspension, interior, and whatnot would still make a huge difference on the car. Thank you for the support!

you can install a digital sound processor, so you can keep your stock radio unit, but still have all the advantages besides a display from a good alpine or whatever

@hunterdirection I'm interested in the front bumper, and if with the replacement speakers if you went aftermarket or got back OEM, and if aftermarket what you did to get around the issue with the built in amps on the OEM speakers

Ive been driving, and working on b5's for about 12 years now. This gave me the boost i needed to keep going on a b5 1.8t build i gave up on last summer. Your s4 is very tastefully done. And all that euro impulse carbon fiber man you must have clos 3k in carbon in that thing with the intake pipe and mirror caps. nice! And anyone wondering if the bcracing coilovers are worth getting, absolutely hands down. Make sure you get the swift springs option.

B5 content = Good content

I daily a 2.8 with Quattro/manual.. no aftermarket for this motor, so I lowered it and called it good.

2.8's sound really really good. Underrated

Mobilspec makes a really good bluetooth fm transmitter, its not cheap but worth it. I believe it was around $120

Where do you buy and find sway bars for example? I don't find any good site at all in Sweden and I don't find any upgrade kits on ebay/amazon etc.. I'd appreciate a link or two.

hi man i recently picked up an A4 B5 1.8t FWD and replaced the offside driveshaft along with rear gearbox mount and still sounds like there is a slight rub/vibration and supposedly -5 out on one side

Hi, considering that I might not be able to own an S4 ever, should I actually put some money in the a4 b5 1.9 afn that I already own? car is at 400k+ km and has a pretty sad interior.. board itself looks as new, but chairs and armrest looks bad.. also exterior needs to be remade, rust and maybe color.. another thing is that I find it impossible to find where to buy car mats that fit properly.. Any answer would do, thank you!

Anyone know how to get a similar mod to the rear suspension when you have a non quattro that doesn't have a rear swaybar ?

Super solid question. Very much so depends on the engine itself. If you have a 1.8 any of the 1.8 mods I listed for the b5 are pretty much a direct crossover. I had a blast with my b6 avant. I will say that the B6 platform has some big improvements in both stock suspension and overall build quality. The sway bars really made my old avant handle well though.

1.8 20VT or S4 ? The S4 sounds better, goes faster and looks nicer buuut.... It's around 400lbs (200kg) heavier, understeer is gonna be worse and the maintenance looks like a nightmare. I'm really undecided here, any clues ?

Hi, been trying to do some research on how the a4 2.8l will handle turbocharging. Some people say that the engine doesnt handle boost well at all and isnt a great platform for engine modifications. Would you say that you agree?

Its not worth doing. By the time you get it running you could have bought a 2nd clean b5 a4 1.8t. Better to get 2 b5's and daily the 2.8 then try and turn a 2.8 into a s4

B8 calipers and pads and B6 rotors. Direct bolt on poor mans "big brake kit". Got the idea from German Elite Tuning. I've also heard you can use B6 rear calipers, pads and rotors for the back but haven't done much research on that yet.

once did a 205km/h with a Audi80 1.8 66kw in Germany.

Have you ever had a problem with your upgraded coil packs popping out? Considering if I need the 034 conversion that comes with a plate to keep them secured. It's a lil bit pricier but I want to know if it's needed for piece of mind.

So far I haven't had any issues with that on the 2.7 or the 1.8. I will definitely keep an eye on that as I go into bigger turbos though!

You can also source BEL valve covers, then you can just use the push in coil packs without any adapters. APB valve covers require the adapter. Or you can purchase C5 RS6 coil packs and use them with the APB valve covers and no adapters as they are the older screw in style.

@@HunterDirection nope, didn’t post any link. But good to see you’re not doing so. The coils won’t pop off. They aren’t under any load or pressure. The problem with the conversions is the adapter harnesses, which stink. They are bulky and on many cars cause misfires because they aren’t grounded correctly. Wiring it back to the ecu is the best option, and a few people make a harness for this exact purpose.

I picked up the same set of wheels for my B5, rear right rubs a little, probably bad shock, any thoughts

Could definitely be a bad shock or some sort of a control arm bushing. Maybe even the control arm is bent. I haven't had any rubbing with these surprisingly haha

Anyone knowing if B5 parts match for b6 aswell?
