OMG Greta! I just received Velvet Gold today and I'm obsessed and in-love with this fragrance! I own GFG and I think I prefer Velvet Gold because it is stronger and slightly powdery. I also have BR540 (extrait) but it's been reformulated and I go anosmic to the original perfume so when I tell you I'm impressed by Amber Rouge, I really am! It smells like the original, just as high quality, but I DO NOT go anosmic to it, I can smell it during the ENTIRE day! I'm in love with Orientica, next Oud Saffron!!!

Orientica Royal blue I got this scent after seeing your review , it's amazing, thank you.The quality of these scents is awesome.

I have Amber Rouge and love it, I’m now interested in the Royal Amber and Oud Safron! Omg and thank you for recommending Amore Torrido!! I gasped when I smelled it! Easily one of the most beautiful perfumes I have in my collection, Ty ty Ty 💕💕💕

Greta, I think you have such a similar nose to mine, and you're the only person on YT from whom I would take enough advice that I might blind buy. Like you, I can't stand Oud Satin Mood, By the Fireplace, and quite a few other hyped fragrances, but I think because you love Velvet Gold I probably will, too, and I'll probably buy it. Also, several years ago I bought Orientica Ishraq. It's in a strange bottle (not pretty as these) but it smells really close to Xerjoff Dama Bianca, and I love it.

I sat down with the actual owners of both brands. It is his son, but the entities are separate.

I have Amber Rouge and love it.❤ I got it only about 5 days ago though and I'm hoping the smell gets a little stronger over time. Does it get stronger with time, or have you noticed? I have another dupe of BR540 that smells almost exactly like it by Be Layered called Heaven's Door and it smells divine, and it's a little stronger smelling than Amber Rouge (at least so far.. I know with Arabian fragrances they tend to get stronger with time, and I'm hoping that's the case with Amber Rouge). Heaven's door is more expensive per ml though.. its about $63 for 55ml and Amber Rouge is about the same price for quite a bit more perfume.. plus the Orientica bottles are so beautiful!

I really like the Orientica bottles.

They are super heavy! That is probably the only attribute that eludes to the affordable price tag. The metal is a cheap-heavy kind of weight.

I'm a man and use Oud saffron, love it

I bought Velvet Gold sample and fell in love, then I heard that this is a dupe of Gente Fluidity Gold which I didn't know, so I bought the sample of it too. GFG at first smells to me like goat hair and I cannot stand it, so I prefer Velvet Gold 🤩

I saw some people reference GFG on fragrantica, but I don’t get that. It certainly has a bit in common though. I prefer Velvet Gold too 🙌🏼

I tried a few of these Orientica offerings. To my nose these smell very inferior. I mean obviously the price point is stellar and at that price range, most times you get what you pay for. Knowing your fantastic taste in fragrances, I assumed these would be that rare anomaly but alas I assumed wrong. lol It happens. Everyone's nose smells things differently. I would never wear these. Positive side, the bottles are very stunning! Thanks for all you do Greta. Ciao.

Oh, I don’t think these are on par with a $2-300 perfume. But like you said, for a ~$50 perfume I think they beat their peers for sure!

To be honest you just sound like a snob! I remember buying the wonderful Side Effects after watching so many reviews praise it, and say how long lasting and beast mode it was blah blah blah obviously because it is such high quality and all! Received it, liked the fragrance enough, but i spayed it on, at least 10 sprays, and i could not smell it after 20 mins and i am being generous, apparently reformulated, so much for niche fragrances always being the best, nonsense! It has happened with a couple of others to! Now my skin does eat fragrance, but i expect a £200 bottle of perfume to at least last, when i can smell my Jimmy choo original all day! That is why i never say never to any fragrances, and i can understand why Greta tried these, very happy she enjoyed them to, nice to see some sensibly priced fragrances that perform as well and probably way better than most niche!

Your sweater is fabulous! I love it. I got Velvet Gold yesterday, and sprayed it as soon as it arrived. It’s a rich vanilla and slightly powdery. I did one spray on my wrist, and it lasted all day until I showered. Can’t wait for it to macerate a bit and then see how it is. The bottle is stunning. I love that shade of purple.

What are Animal note's?

Animal notes can be from different notes (musk, oud, cipriol, etc) that gives a very animal scent either like manure, barn, or sharp notes. In extremely tiny amounts, it can add complexity. But can be very overwhelming or off-putting.

I tried something from the Maison Margela line recently and the quality is definately not that great.. it turned "bad" only a few hours later. When I say "bad" what I mean is the fragrance "breaks down" "falls apart".

It turns my stomach 🤢Its like Saccharin artificial sweetner over intense oud. Zero rose or vanilla.
