I own 3 of the original 2015 model of the pro sheilds with the 500gb hard drives thou one has been upgraded to a 2 tb hard drive love the sheild and has never let me down

Which would you recommend?

I bought Xiaomi tv box 2nd gen. I can’t receive Dolby digital/Atmos sound in my Bose soundbar. IT’s received only LPCM2.0. Sound settings I selected as auto . Please advise

The Chromecast has no aux sound output, hence not an option on a lot of monitors

Only the best is sufficent here so no 1 Nvidia Shield PRO but with the 250gig internal version.

I have Nvidia Shield TV Pro. And i bought Samsung S95B TV, And Shield does not support HDR10+, only HDR10. I am here because i searching for another one player. But Nvidia is absolutely great if u have a Dolby vision or HDR10 TV.

Yeah Samsung sucks they don't support Dolby vision. You should of went with a C2 or A B2 by LG instead.

Get the Shield if you're interested in Movies, Apple if you want the Apple Ecosystem.

Chromecast is just plain bad, lots of glitches, bug, web browsing is just plain bad, if you cast/play from a streaming website it just closes it cause it considers it's piracy.. I'm switching from my chromecast ultra > shield TV, maybe even Roku/Xiaomi

Be careful with Nvidia shield. If they don’t like something that you download it which is very rare that to let you download anything extra it’s a gamer that’s all it’s for they’ll stop you and make sure that you can’t change anything inside of it anymore. This is a problem for me. I bought the box. I should have the right to do what I need to to make it work but they don’t allow that anymore so I pitched it and I will not ever buy another one.

I've been using the Nvidia Shield with a usb SSD for years. Always been a great box. Even better running through an ethernet connection.
