It's beautiful. In order to explain away a continuity error they just draw attention to it, with the worst acting ever nonetheless.
Ayoade as Dean looking directly at the camera in every scene is brilliant.

Ayoade's attention to the smallest details of anti-acting is impressive. On repeated viewings if your looking closely you will see he is getting more things wrong than you initially realised. Even his eye movements are controlled.

I can't believe I've watched this show a gazillion times and only just now noticed that at 0:15, Sanchez says "cordless iron", and the iron hovering past them has a massive cord.
Richard with the shotgun, then he's just standing there... pure comic genius lol

I once saw a guy almost pull it off, but his hair and accent wasn't as cool. SMH.
6:24 I like this part because Garth cleverly shows how his character is sad. You can tell by the subtle downturn of the head, furrowing of the brow, and frowning of the mouth. He clearly didn't want to have to burn his old buddy.
7:25 that look to the camera... perfection.
It is actually really good acting since they are trained actors, trying to play an untrained actor twice, both in act and out of act. End result is just hilarious

I'm taking a film studies class strictly so I can fully appreciate this series
What's so great about the telekinesis episode is that Garth's self-insert character, who is supposed to be Garth's "ideal" version of himself, is still absolutely unable to tell when a woman is mad at him because of Garth's own ideas about women

I'm convinced it's the most quotable show I've ever seen.
The way Thornton Reed is just standing there during the chaos at the funeral with a smirk on his face 😂
"keep your headbands on, that way we won't get lost"
I love that a load of Matt Berry's lines are dubbed over the video
"watch out he's got a stick" best line ever,
In the spirit of typing words that were in the scenes (01:29): "Everything bar the kitchen sink!"... "OH MY GAWD, THE KITCHEN SINK AN' ALL"
The thing is, this actually is the best acting ever. To actually play a character badly intentionally while acting enough to make it convincing has to be one of the hardest things to ever do and they execute it perfectly. Chef's kiss of a show.
I'm forever wishing he would do another series.
