Thanks so much, Emma. Our first great grandson is 6 months old. You can imagine how much “baby wisdom” has changed in the last 60 years. I love knowing the researched and tested information to use to buy him toys and to play with him. He’s gotten a couple of Lovevery boxes and so far they seem to be right on point so we’ll keep buying them. They’re sure made to last. 👍

I've also noticed that my baby agrees with you unknowingly haha e.g his favourite toys at 6 months are: his Lamaze dragon and octopus that hangs from his play gym, Oball and Oball with teething handles, his ring stacker (the red one in particular he puts in his mouth) any type of teether and is obsessed with rattles, he takes the lid off the shape box but we will have to practice popping the shapes in with lid off, he also loves his wooden abacus 😅

From what I’ve read the jolly jumper only hinders motor development if over used and in the wrong manner. You have to keep it to 15-20 sessions max twice a day. To be on the safe side I would say 10min x per/day. Also they can only touch the floor with their tippy toes

Hi @LQH Family sounds exactly like the type of 'play' I would see a 10 month old doing with a shape sorter. No need to be concerned. I wouldn't expect a baby to put a shape into a shape sorter until 12 months of age and it would only be the circle shape first. If you can, I would remove the lid of the shape sorter and show your little one how to drop the shapes into the open container - might stop him pouring everything out.

This is probably the first time I have ever heard you suggest something that I just flat out do not agree with. SO, for posterity's sake, I have to point out that Sophie the Giraffe is hollow and has tiny holes that allow just enough water/slobber to get in to grow crazy amounts of mold inside. I highly suggest if you have a true classic hollow Sophie that has been used, that you cut it open and see what's living inside her bc I cannot imagine you would knowingly use or endorse a teether that grows mold inside that cannot be cleaned out. There are articles and vids about it all over KZread and online in general. I have never had a Sophie myself, so if this is some kind of social media misinformation hysteria that I am passing on, please be sure to let me know lol. Otherwise, I felt it was important to mention.❤ open and see whats inside
