BEST 5 STAR HOTEL CANCUN? HILTON ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT - Mexico - Tour & Review

Is Mexico calling you? If you're thinking of planning a holiday or honeymoon to Mexico then check out my review and tour of the Hilton Cancun, an All-Inclusive Resort in Mexico!
You'll find out whether the hotel actually is all-inclusive, how many restaurants there are (an essential factor for me), what the rooms are like, whether the pools are to your taste, how easy it is to get to local attractions.
It's a family friendly hotel, although we don't have any children and prefer an adults only vibe, which we were able to achieve by requesting a room in a quiet location and choosing the quieter pools/beaches.
Let me know if you've any questions by commenting below. Also subscribe to check out more videos like this - I have a Mexico series where I detail the excursions you can do and take you with me!!

Great video! I am looking at the Hilton right now since it seems to be one of the newer resorts and looks very nice. Couple questions based on a lot of reviews I’ve read. 1.Was there an up charge for any of the loungers/umbrellas near the pools? 2. Did you feel like the food and drinks were good, bad, or average for an all inclusive? I keep seeing very polar reviews

Hey Stancaban! Thanks for your questions. On your first one, there were “reserved” signs on the larger loungers (like the white one where I start the video) during the day so I believe you may have to pay extra to reserve but there are lots of normal loungers and umbrellas in plentiful supply where you don’t have to pay or reserve. On the food and drinks aspect - there was an American influence, so if you’re European you have to be aware of that. The variety of restaurants impressed us, particularly the Italian, the Mexican and the Thai place. The buffet was good - not the best I’ve been to but certainly not the worst and had decent choices. We’re not big drinkers but the wine and beers included were good, along with some fizz. The moet & Chandon champagne was an additional charge. I hope this helps! We loved this place as it was a lot more modern compared to other places we considered and also the staff are delightful!

Thanks for the review. I'm planning a trip to cancun and this is in my top two. Just have some questions hoping you would be able to answer. 1. Do they provide free water bottles? 2. Do their standard rooms include bathtubs? Thank you!

Happy to help! One your first question, yes, they provide free water bottles round the clock. You can get them from the lobby or out by the pools anytime. On your second point, we went for a standard room and didn’t have a bathtub, instead a walk in shower. If you want to look at the chapter of my video that has the room tour (near the end of my review) that will show you the set up. Extra tip is to request a quiet room as otherwise they could put you by the kids pool or over the party area. Hope this helps, we loved the ease of this hotel, it was like a cruise ship on land and could plan tours easily from it. Also if you’re going on a tour you can get sandwiches from the cafe bar before leaving so you don’t have to take chances with food from outside. Hope you have a great holiday!

Great video! Read some reviews that the resort was pretty small and there's not a whole lot to do. Did you experience that at all given you were there for 10 nights/11 days? Will check out your video on excursions but coming in with a 1 year old so we may skip excursions for this trip. Maybe shuttle between the other Hilton to check out the hotel zone. Anything you'd recommend doing there for families with young children? Is the water nicer in that area?

Hey, thanks for your comment. Personally I would not call this resort small, we found it the opposite with a massive lobby, lots of restaurants, different pools, fitness centre, outdoor beach area and amphitheatre. The 715 rooms are quite spread out across the resort so sometimes you can be walking quite far distances from your room if the restaurant you've booked is at the other end or if you're going to a show in the amphitheatre. The North pool is best for families with small children and if you go to 08:22 of my video and pause you'll see all the activities you can do incl kids club. We took the shuttle to the Hilton in the Cancun Hotel Zone which was lovely as we were able to use the rooftop area with sun loungers, pool, bar and excellent views. Note though you have to pay for drinks/food there even though it's also a Hilton. Also nice was a wander around the La Isla shopping district and there is an aquarium there which looked great. I thought the sea was a bit less beautiful blue by the hotel than when we went into Cancun, it was more of the Caribbean blue around Playa Delfines and also when we did our day trip from the port in Cancun to the Paradise Island (Isla Mujeres), the video of which is being released this weekend, so check that out in case you do want to try any excursions as you could do that with a 1 year old. However the sea is still very nice and safe to swim in by the hotel. Hope this has helped and thanks for watching. Would be so grateful if you could subscribe xx

@@reneebrown5299 yes, definitely if you go on the boat ride across the nature reserve and also if you take the shuttle to Cancun, Playa Delfines is the perfect blue! 🩵

Hi, we are staying at the Hilton in Sept (humidity hero’s I know) and we’re just wondering how you found the travel from the airport to the hotel? Did you guys use the shuttle or did you book a taxi on arrival. And just out of curiosity how much did either option cost!? Thank you in advance!!

Hey! So as we booked an all inclusive package, that included the shuttle bus and we didn’t have any major issues. Only critiques are that the bus didn’t have proper aircon and wasn’t really big enough for the volume of people on it, which meant not all cases fit underneath and some had to be taken in the seating area, which was awkward. I hope they‘ve found bigger buses now (we were there in June). Otherwise as the resort is really close to the airport we were the first drop off on the shuttle bus which was very nice. Given it’s a short journey to the airport, I would hope a taxi wouldn’t be too expensive. Another thing to note is you may be waiting a little while for your shuttle bus to leave as they allow time for people to come out of the airport. It’s up to you but if you’re trip doesn’t include the price of the shuttle bus it is probably a lot quicker and nicer to get a taxi but equally the shuttle did the job! Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Hi did you guys drink the water in the resort from the suitable fountains?

  • @SweetCarolineTravels

Hey - yes we did and thankfully had no issues. There are water fountains throughout the resort and on the different levels where rooms are so you can stay hydrated! We didn’t drink any water outside of the resort just to be safe! Hope that’s helpful!

You mentioned an app. Are you referring the the Hilton app?

  • @SweetCarolineTravels

    @SweetCarolineTravels

    6 ай бұрын

It’s not the generic Hilton app, the hotel have a QR code that brings you to their own hotel website where you can book restaurants. I shouldn’t actually have used the word app in the video as misleading as it’s a specific Hilton Cancun website. It’s good though and I would recommend booking restaurants early in your stay.

I heard much about power outages. Did you experience any of that?

Thankfully not. We were there for 10 nights/11 days and no issues. Did you hear about that recently? I know the hotel is only 18 months old so I wonder was it when it opened first? But do recommend it. Thanks for commenting. Am releasing more Mexico content of the excursions you can do from the resort this week so subscribe to keep updated :-)
