Hey there! I was just wondering, can the complimentary shuttle take you to downtown Cancun, or do you need to book an Uber? And speaking of Ubers, have you seen any cruising around the resort, or is it a bit tricky to snag a ride?

The complimentary shuttle only brought us to the Canopy by Hilton Cancun La Isla, which is in the Hotel Zone. I'm not sure about Ubers or rideshares since we didn't use any, but you won't see any around the resort since it is quite remote.

Hi! I’ll be heading here in a few weeks! Are we able to choose what he want to eat at the Asian restaurant? We won’t do habashi as you have to pay. Your video made it seem like what the chef brings, those are your only choice!?

For Sunan, their Southeast Asian Restaurant, they didn't offer any hibachi performance. It is an a la carte restaurant, the menu isn't super extensive so what we got were most of the menu items.

Did you booked the excursions at the hotel or before arriving? Pls let me know I’ll be going there in a month and don’t know what to do

We booked it when we were at the hotel for the following day. Only caveat is that scheduling an excursion may be affected by the amount of participants since they may have a minimum requirement. We had a group of 12 so this wasn’t an issue for us. If you’re worried about getting an excursion or have further questions, you should be able to email or call them. We were able to contact them through email prior to arriving in Cancun. Hope this helps and hope you enjoy your trip!

That’s funny. Just a tiny, tiny piece of the habanero pepper is super hot. And I love spicy food. PS: Great job on the video. The food looked delicious. Did you really like all inclusive? Usually, it’s watered down drinks and average food that’s prepared hours before. Would you do it again?

I didn't record myself eating it, but the habanero was definitely an experience 😅 and thanks for checking out my video. And I did enjoy staying at an all inclusive. It's not my preferred method of traveling, since you don't do as much exploring but it was a good way to relax and have some fun. Not too sure about the watered down drinks since I'm a lightweight in terms of alcohol, but it's all included so you can always ask for extra shots. The food overall was good, I feel like the meats at the Hilton did tend to be either dry or tough which was a bit disappointing, but the seafood was amazing. Food was fresh and quality was better at the restaurants that required reservation than the buffet. I still think about the food from time to time 🤤. Overall would do an all inclusive again, but maybe at another resort/city/country to experience something different.

@@JonAngTravel : Thanks for replying. We stayed at the Royal Sands Resort in Cancun in 2021 but elected not to have the all-inclusive. The hotel zone had many world-class restaurants (Brazilian, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, seafood, and of course, Mexican), and many provided great dinner shows, which was the highlight of the evening. And like you, we think of the meals. There's one dish that I'm crazy about; many seafood restaurants in Cancun have a seafood soup that's out of this world.

We were there in January, a bit chilly at night but perfect during the day. Still a decent amount of seaweed washing up on the beach though.

Nice video but food was not looking …good • I suggest Moon Palace Grand where I found the best in Cancun for all exclusive ( been there 4 times)

Great video! Thank you so much! Heading to this hotel next month with my daughter. What is the best way to ensure you get on the right shuttle at the airport? Also, what is the water level like snorkling on the tour?I am in my mid 60s and do not seem swim or hang glide.

Thanks for watching! Hope you guys have fun on your trip. Just make sure you're looking for a person holding the correct sign for the shuttle company you booked with. They may have your on the sign as well. The shuttle company should provide you better details, if not you can try corresponding with them. Additionally before you provide your names, you can ask them if they have you on their list. The water depth varies quite a bit for the excursions that we did, for all three locations there are portions where your feet will not reach the bottom. They do provide life jackets, so you do not have to worry about treading water. A few people in our group are not able to swim so either the guide or somebody else in our group would drag them around using the lifesaver. I would say that you can still enjoy the snorkel tour without knowing how to swim, but may not get the most out of it. There may be other tour options for people who aren't able to do the more adventurous activities.

@JonAngTravel thank you so much for replying quickly and with the details. I booked through Expedia and they just showed I had shared shuttle transfers when I booked online. The hotel website stated airport shuttle so a bit confused. I guess I will call the hotel and Expedia. Although you mentioned above emailing the hotel so will try both. You are a blessing and your group you went with seemed like good people. (Who was that very cute happy couple? :) Your tour guide was really nice also with a sense of humor. I am guessing one is to tip them. It is my pattern to tip anyway but he seemed very enthusiastic about his job and caring. I think he genuinely liked your group also (of course he knew he was on camera as well ;).

Oh interesting. The Hilton did not offer airport shuttle when we stayed, so I'm not familiar with that. I would contact Expedia to see if they have more information, if not, then the hotel. We had a fun group, the couple who got engaged is my brother and his girlfriend. And yes, make sure to tip. I did not show it in the vlog, but we brought cash so that we could tip the hotel staff/bartenders/cleaning service/tour guide/etc.

@@123savedbygrace Hi there. I just came back 3 days ago from that hotel. I booked transportation from the airport and back directly with the hotel. 100% satisfied. They were waiting right outside the airport and upgraded us to an SUV for free. Upon return also got a nice ride back on a Navigator. The hotel is nice and food was great. They have an app for booking reservations for the restaurants and also works for room service. Beach is not good here, but if possible book a tour to ISLA MUJERES. Water is amazing. Hope you have fun

@JonAngTravel thank you for that information. Do you need to exchanged dollars to their currency? Can you use your credit card for anything?

Which excursions do you recommend? Do they have excursion of swimming with dolphins? Do you feel safe outside the hotel?

Would definitely recommend doing any of the cenote tours, they have a few package options. Not sure which the best one would be though. And yes, they do have a package that includes swimming with dolphins. There are also some cultural tours that'll bring you to temples and such. There isn't anything outside the immediate vicinity of the hotel except for wildlife to be worried about. The hotel zone itself is very touristy so felt safe. Only thing I would be wary about is when you're leaving the airport, make sure you meet up with the correct people if you prebooked a shuttle.

To be honest, some of the food I had was not the best but there were also some amazing dishes that I still think about. I would say that it's a bit of a mixed bag of great to average food. I'm not sure how food at other resorts is but for the price that we paid, I don't really have too many complaints and wouldn't mind going back. If you want all around amazing food, then it may be better to look elsewhere.

the tour mas part of the all inclusive?

The tour was not included. The tour company does have an information center in the resort though. We booked our tour the day before, it cost us $139 per person.

@Ray Wolf It still would have been just as fun, the guide was like the cherry on top though. I think I would've done one of the other Tropical Elite tours though, snorkeling in the ocean inlet wasn't the greatest, poor visibility & not too many fish.

My favorite moment was the tour. I love adventuring and seeing wildlife so it was a perfect package. Our tour guide was also such a character, he made the experience that much better.

Is there a swim up bar?

Service was great, we tipped every time we made a visit. Personally I enjoyed it, but my brother says that the mixed drinks were watered down.
