Not gonna lie, this pc isn't great value for a few reasons: 1) By using an i5 12400F instead of the i5 12600K would allow you to improve the GPU and perhaps upgrade to the 3070, which would definitely increase your gaming performance. 2) The "K" variant of this CPU is completely a waste of money when using a B660 motherboard as the motherboard doesn't allow for overclocking. 3) The PC case isn't great for the price in my opinion (it costs £98.98) and it doesn't have a mesh intake at the front. For under £100 (£79.99 to be exact) you could buy a Corsair 4000D Airflow which would definitely have better airflow and temperatures. 4) By going for an all-black build (which is generally a lot cheaper than an all-white build) you could pump money into more important parts of your gaming system. For example, the SSD - the Samsung 980 500 GB featured in the video is only £4 cheaper on Amazon than an SN770 500 GB drive, which happens to be PCIe Gen 4 and has much faster read/write speeds. Additionally, 500 GB of storage isn't really enough for a modern system in my opinion. Once Windows is installed you will be fairly limited in terms of space for your games. Therefore, a 1 TB drive or higher is definitely ideal. 5) As well as this, using an i5 11400F diminishes the need for an AIO liquid cooler - the AIO featured in the video goes for £79.99 on Amazon, and a traditional air cooler can be had for around £30, such as the Deepcool Gammaxx. 6) Lastly, the PSU isn't really a good deal for the money - it costs £180.92 on Amazon and for a 750W PSU this isn't really a great price. For example, the NZXT 750 Bronze can be had for £60 on Amazon, which saves around £120 when compared to the PSU featured in the video.

you have to keep in mind, if he wanted best performance, the builds would look fine but not interesting enough, especially since he has a younger audience. I hate how he labels these pcs “best 1.2k” or “best 2k pc” when for 1.2k you can get a 12400f and a 6800xt, with a good looking case and call it a day. This guy, when it comes to building your first pc, ignore.

@@aousy9532 Yeah I totally agree - when your building a gaming pc you should put most of your money into the GPU, as it has the biggest impact on your gaming performance. So by using in i5 12400F instead of the i5 12600K you could pump more money into a better GPU, like the RX 6800 XT like you said.

A 12600k is just a higher clocked 12400f with e-cores. But since a 12600k looks cooler that must mean it’s way better right? I feel for the young children that watch this and are heavily mis-informed on what they should be buying.

Just upgraded my build today from a Gigabyte 1060 6GB to a XFX MERC319 6750XT today! Absolutely crushes everything I throw at it at max, and at just slightly lower or the same price as this 3060ti can confidently say at 1080p/1440p both of these are amazing!

So, I tried to search all of the parts from a trusted online shop (which is the cheapest option if you're from the province) here in the Philippines, with all the same specs and brand, aside from the GPU brand. I got a total cost of $1,510 converted from my currency. Well, prices vary from different countries tho, so yeah. This PC being $1,500 in my country is understandable, I can see this $1,200 happening by the 1st quarter of 2023.

I'm from Philippines too and I managed to make a 1440p build plan with monitor included for only $1,235. (The gpu is a used 3060 ti and if you want it bnew then add more $100 to the total cost)

In this Build would it hurt to not use the i5 Instead use Intel Core i7-12700KF Desktop Processor 12 (8P+4E) ? since its only a few bucks more and is a 12 core

There is a few components that I need to cheap out like buying local branded AIO (Rigear), Intel core i5 12400, low tier but okay brand psu(1st player steampunk gold), less ram but reputable brand dual channel 16GB(Corsair and PNY) and case(Invasion which I never heard of it) but I also get 1Tb of Samsung 980 which is on sale right now and dual fan RTX3060TI by gigabyte.

Motherboard shouldn’t affect fps. Motherboard can affect audio though. For performance, the most important is the graphics card, cpu, and ram

A 12600k is just a higher clocked 12400 with e-cores. The reason he didn’t use the 12400 is simply if he re-uses the same parts for most of his builds, it’s not “entertaining enough”. I really despise it since these builds are really terrible value and he still says in the title “best $1,200 gaming pc!”.

@@hatoslolxd8150 6700xt is slightly better at the price of $400, and the 3060ti is $510. The only reason to go for a 3060ti is if you’re doing blender/streaming as work to utilise nvenc/cuda

No,There would be no need for a different Power Supply i dont know what I7 Gen you are going to use 12th or 13th gen the 750w is enough or even overkill,for this build and I7 and maybe for future proofing if you want get a 850w PSU alteast 80+Bronze Glad that helps,

I build for about 1200$ (2 Days ago) my PC with i5 12400f, B660, 16GB 3600Mhz RAM, rx 6800 and a be quiet pure Base 500fx. I think my build is a lot better. I Paid 1280€ thats about 1240$. Edit: and a 1TB Samsung 980 M.2 SSD and SilentiumPC Spartan 5 Max Argb

Hmm, I would of built it a bit different, by installing 2*16 GB ram instead of 2*8, and to compensate would of used the i5 12th gen F since it's like 100 bucks cheaper then the K varient, or could of baught rtx 3070 but thats kind of meh since then ram needs upgrade too etc

@@hanionline563 I think you misunderstand what ram is for...ram is randome access memory, if you open 200 taps on chrome, all playing yt then you'll need a lot of ram...if you open 20 CAD assembly pages then you'll need more ram, for gaming then yes it's more then enough, but for other things it may not be.

No way you should be getting a 12600k with a 3060ti for gaming! Get a 12400F with a stock cooler and use the extra 200 bucks towards a used 3080 12GB for around $650.

I really would not recommend the MSI liquid cooler it's life span is terrible but maybe that was just my experience, I would recommend a brand that actually focuses on cooling maybe Arctic Freezer or Cooler Master. I had my MSI 240R for 1 year and it literally died 9 days after the warranty expired I still tried to return it but I was unsuccessful so I resorted back to Air Cooling no It's not as fancy as an AIO but the reliability is definitely unmatched and my temps are basically identical to the AIO. If anyone is wondering what my PC specs are here you go: I7 10700k RTX 3080 MSI Gaming Carbon Wifi Motherboard Arctic Freezer Tower Cooler 32GB Patriot Viper Ram @ 3200MHz MSI MAG A850w GF PSU Samsung Evo Pro M.2 240GB SSD 1TB HDD CiT Crossfire Case
