Thanks, to much waisted time in videos these days chasing ad money......

Most of what I got out of the generator when I changed the oil was aluminum dust, which the magnetic oil plug would not help with. I changed the oil like 4 times in the first 5 hours to flush the case out.

Use a dual fuel generator, preferably propane rather than gas. Although it produces slightly less power than gas. Its cleaner and doesn't cause any problems with the carburetor where you have to add additives. I have to use gas only in my snowblower. I don't use any additives but rather let the snowblower sputter out of gas after each use. I never leave any gas even with an additive in that unit to avoid any problems. Ethanol, even with an additive with eventually gum up the carburetor. My neighbor thought that his snowblower would work a year later even though he put a fuel stabilizer in the tank. We had to clean out his carburetor which was gummed up. We got it running. I told him to just add a less amount of fuel and run that unit out, even after he finishes clearing snow from his property to avoid problems.

Sounded like a good idea. Got the magnetic dipstick and hour meter to keep up on a maintenance schedule. Need to get rid of the torch spark plug next.

I have a Wen df451i coming tomorrow, the Magnetic oil dipstick is coming today. I have 30 weight oil for it as break in oil and will go to 5W-30 synthetic when the break in is done.

the Connecting Rod and Block & Piston are Aluminum so any small shavings will not stick to a magnet

I've seen reviews that the magnetic oil dip sticks that the magnetic comes out. Try lifting a pair of pliers or ratchet with your magnetic oil dip stick and see if you magnetic comes out.

Would have purchased the WEN inverter but couldn't find it dual fuel. Bought the Champion. Did buy the WEN 4750w gas generator also. My question I asked WEN was about the Breakin procedure. Did install magnetic dipstick in both. Good Video.

Glad you got the magnetic dipstick. I ordered one with my generator. Dipstick arrived first. I’ve seen the black goo like you had. I’ve tested with my RV and it will run the AC and the microwave at the same time. Biggest draw I’ve seen is with a hairdryer along with an electric heater. 75% load. Don’t think I’d try to add an AC into the mix. Good video, thanks!

I have been researching an inverter generator for my RV and it looks like this brand is the best value as well as being quiet. I plan on going with the dual fuel as propane is cleaner and I have plenty. I would appreciate your opinion.

I bought the Nash propane converter.... have you seen a video of the installation?

Thank you so much for the video I have been doing a lot of research and found the 3800 but I also just ran across the duel fuel and I’m torn with buying that. My problem is I can’t lift 100 pounds I’m a 67-year-old woman so I was wondering if maybe two of the 2000 would be better. What is your opinion.

I have the same generator and i was wondering if you have tried to drain the carb of gas after using auto shut down? Is the much gas left in the carb?

Your hour meter showed 0 and you said you ran it a couple hours. Mine does the same thing. Goes back to 0 after every restart. Any thoughts?
