Hello Mr Casey. My hubby and I were shoes makers back in the late 70s - 80s. We worked for H&M Rayne. The Queen’s shoemaker’s. We were based near Kings x. I was one of two heel coverers. My hubby stitched the shoes. He also made hand bags for The Late Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana. We didn’t appreciate it at the time but it is a legacy we are very proud of. It was fascinating watching you making shoes. We still have some of the tools used back then. You are right, there is a real difference in factory made shoes and bespoke. At Rayne, we did both. It is an art. Wonderful video. 😊
I love that you’re not afraid to try different types of film making. Absolutely loving the content at the moment 😍

This was far better than most content on TV. Nice job.
That’s about the coolest video I’ve seen on your channel. Tranquil deliberate hand craftsmanship. I’d rank this above Rule’s which I loved and watched several times. Mr. Allison you are a craftsman yourself.

Like honestly this is so god damn interesting and it makes me feel grateful the we have people like him still that was to make everything by hand and have that special feel to them
Really like this raw style video without commentary
Fantastic. There’s a lot to be said for what a British man can accomplish in his shed!

I absolutely love this format!!!!! The video itself is spectacular and letting Dominick just speak was so great. Without a doubt my favorite video so far. Fantastic job to all involved
This was cool to watch, and awesome to hear Dominic's comments on everything. I love how everything in his workshop is second hand; the history and pride are palpable.
Absolutely one of the best videos you have presented. I can’t wait to see the second episode. Fantastic documentary Kirby. Congrats.
More of this Kirby!
40 hours to make a pair of shoes, so I was hoping for a 40hr video 😁
An absolute winner. Hypnotically soothing video, I could watch Dominic work forever an all the worries of the day disappears. Can't waiit for part two! One of the best so far, Kirby.
There's something so pleasant about this man and his respect for his trade 🙂
Kirby you are to be commended for spending a considerable amount of money on a full time film crew to capture the content you provide. This example really makes me appreciate your commitment because we can all see the art of shoemaking being captured forever. As Dominic says, the process he is using is ancient and some techniques are being lost through generational changes. You are preserving some of these and that is a brilliant contribution. Thank you for what you do and I can see you are a whisker away from 600,000 subscribers which is phenomenal- congratulations in advance!!! And best wishes from Tokyo.
I’ve always found it so cool to see people stitch a Goodyear welt by hand.
I didn't want the video to end. So relaxing and satisfying watching a master craftsman at work.
I could watch Dominic Casey work all day long. Beautiful video and can't wait to see more. Thanks for making these videos.
The left handed shoemaker who was told he would never amount to much has certainly proved to be a master. Well done Dominic.
Super Video Kirby. It radiates the precision but also the calmness that is required in this classic craft. The birds, the tranquility of Domenic. The video gives you a few minutes of relaxation.
Never really thought shoe making could be so interesting and tranquil at the same time but here we are watching this fantastic video that leaves you wanting more. Thank you Mr Allison and to Dominic whos an artist and master in his work.

really wonderful to see the process.
That work table idea is genius as a young leather worker just starting this is so helpful, great upload love this video
This is great, and your previous upload already had such marvelous ASMR when Mr. Gaziano cut open the trial shoe. Thanks, this is much appreciated.
Such talent, he truly a generational craftsman. Could watch him for hours !!!!
Great job, Mr Allison. No ego, pure love. Very important documentation for Future generations.
Masterful videography. I can't wait for the sequel

Tremendous stuff putting this together and preserving another art on the archives of the Internet
What a splendid short film. Well done Mr. Allison.
Hand making the thread. A true craftsman.
Best shoe video by Kirby, hands down. I now appreciate much more the process of masterful bespoke shoe making. Very skilled, something very special indeed. To be continued💜 👍👞👋🙌
Dominic Casey has my utmost respect. He’s a very clever guy.
Absolutely incredible
Amazing video, both the shoemaking and the filming and editing. Seeing this makes you realize everything that goes into a bespoke pair of shoes, and you realize that the prices which seemed high before are actually an incredible bargain!

This reminds me of the famous pipemaker Bill ‘Ashton’ Taylor, who made all his Ashton pipes in his shed at the back of the garden, I had the privilege to visit his shed and watched him hand made my pipes. I remember Davidoff and JJ Fox used to sell his pipes. Bill Taylor was the master pipe maker for Dunhill before he started Ashton.
Superb.

Kirby Allison, documentary film maker. Dominic making his own threads. I mean seriously, does it get any more bespoke than that?

We could have even filmed him cooking up his own wax had we the time... bespoke at its highest level. For me, I love the authenticity of bespoke. Seeing something not only made entirely by hand, but made by *someone*. In today's world of anonymous manufacturing, it is a true luxury to know who is actually making something for you.
Bespoke Film Making, well done. You have successfully carried the bespoke feel over the internet. The respect and quality message is clear. Thanks for the effort in all aspect of this film. This is a bespoke trademark film; I hope this can continue for all to see. It was wonderful to watch this video over morning coffee, for it was "bespoke dressing" one's mind properly and where real quality begins. Best Wishes to your team.

Any update on the continuation of him making the shoes. This was my favorite video so far. Would love to see it to completion.
I watched a American boot maker, his skills where identical, amazing craftsmanship.
My compliments on the video. I would love to have a job like that. My own shed, my own tools, and just taking all the time I need creating a high end quality product that will last forever. What a wonderful craft. When is part two coming? I really want to see how a sole is made and attached.
Edit: just beautiful work! I can’t wait to watch this. You don’t know how badly I would like to have some bespoke shoes. Shoes never seem to fit me properly anymore I would love to wear something so beautiful that was made to fit me. I love seeing this sort of craftsmanship and I can also really relate to this artisan

@@kirbyallison thanks! I’m sure your right. I’ll have to find some mixes on my ones and see how it goes.
Your camera taken pictures are impecable! So many angles and details, so much respects for Dominic Casey's work! I could only add, if you get to be allowed a camera above his head, pointed at the area where he is working but his right hand don't let us see at times and another, to take pictures or impressions as well as to every tool he gets but from sort of the left side, also above or sort of high level above his head. Then you edit each takes. We can almost make a show by just seeing this gentleman work, a work that invites to honor him by buying at least one pair of shoes he does. Thank you for this production. I'll set a time to see the longer video of you and him. Thank you! And the shop is a piece of art! My tools are second handed, most of everything I own, was used by others. I'm planning to pass my everything to my son, or chikdre after me, if they let us live.
I love hearing the birds outside
WOW!!!!!
This beats Nike shoes hands down. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is above par.
What a great piece! I love it all....and Dominic, what can I say? Who knew George Lucas could also make amazing shoes. :)
More of these, please! This was fantastic.
