I liked the song ☺️😍 although somehow it sounds familiar (like a different take on an old song but not really sure)Srk Sir looks fabulous and handsome (prefer darker hair but still great)Deepika looks so gorgeous,her eyes are so beautiful and very elegant with her look(posing) and dance moves...She is what this song is all about and with Shahrukh sir this is an amazing watch ❤️The constant comparisons with fast paced songs especially with Hrithik's Ghungroo is getting to the audience and though that song is much catchier ,this still is pretty good 👍☺️😍 Hopefully the film will be excellent 🙏

Because Deepika is more than this. She can reflect on a character and channel her fragility into it. The other names you mentioned are not actors, they are utilized for the glamour and oomph they bring to dance numbers, which are mostly empty and shallow. Deepika is capable of being more than just a pretty face gyrating her hips to please lewd gazes. I won't say Deepika's dance is vulgar, it just felt hollow and objectifying, something that SRK hardly ever does in his brand of cinema.

@@faddyequbal I do but that was a rave party with lyrcis like "potty pe baithe nanga.. phir kaahe ki society saali kaahe ka pakhanda". And she had a rebelliously heady tattoo painted on her. The song celebrated her sexuality and abandon as a provocation against those who pass moral judgements on drug consumption. In fact, she is herself depicted as drug-fuelled phantasmagoria, never seen in the entire and not even in the raid that follows. The entire film in fact portrays its women beautifully - Bipasha's tragic social climber , Pratik's empathetic, affable partner and Bachhan Junior's spectral, haunted memory of a near-perfect wife in Vidya Balan. Hence, I do not feel it was sleazy in anyway. The camera does not linger on any body gyrations and most importantly - she is doing it for the omnipresent camera, for the voyeur in all of us and not for a man within her reality. Dum Maaro Dum imo is one of the most underrated films of the 2010s. It is deeply flawed but occasionally brilliant too.
