Bertom Denoiser Punches Above Its Weight

Bertom Denoiser Punches Above Its Weight
I spent about 2 weeks setting up this youtube/recording space and just as I'd finished checking absolutely everything I sat down in front of the computer to test some stuff out and I was getting crazy EMI/EMF coming through the pickups.
I was pulling my hair out trying to find the source of the noise... Computer? Audio Gear? Lights? I ended up cutting the power to my place and using a laptop to hunt down the noise... low and behold it is actually coming from beneath my apartment in certain spots :(
No matter what amp sim or combo of gear I was using there was always an annoying hum bleeding through... the only solution was to get up and record 1-2 meters away... which is fine to record but not to test every single thing...
I stumbled onto Bertom Denoiser and to say its a bit of a lifesaver is an understatement. Of course its not "fixing" the problem... its just taming the problem to the point that I can actually use and test things out when I have noise... and when I need to actually record something I can move to a different part of the room and do the recording.
It's basically saved 50-80% of my noodling time, no more HUMMMMMMM jamming into my ears, best $25 I ever spent!

This plugin is a gamechanger for people like me with unfixable electrical issues. More people need to know about this plugin!

That noise issue is insane... Gotta be a way to get some separation, like rubber mats or something. Also I love that guitar.

If the rubber mats work this video is getting a redemption arc story

Were you running this before or after the amp sim? I find it's more more effective as the first plugin in the chain.

Always after cause I found the harmonics and characteristics were “amplified” (lol) at the end of the chain. I’ll give it a go up front 💪

@@ampspedalspickups I've found it cuts down the noise a lot better and stops it getting amplified in the first place. You can use must less aggressive settings too.

I put it last in the chain, its kind of shaving the final sound so it works best there
