Thank you Mr Dexter for bringing happiness to my childhood. I'm 71 now. I met Mr Dexter at the McDade mall when my kids were small. I was so excited to see him. Our world has corrupted the young now. May The Lord help us back.

Ah! Another Delco man! I too, watched Bertie...along with " our gal pal Sal", Gene London... I was a bit too old for "Happy the clown".... I'm over in Colwyn.
Some of my earliest memories are of Bertie.
Thanks for sharing this. It brings back fond memories of growing up in Philly in the 1950's. I used to watch this show faithfully on Sunday mornings after church.
Thanks for the memories, I grew up watching Bertie and Sir Guy D Guy in Atlantic City where we got the Philadelphia TV stations.

You're welcome! I'm hoping that more of this show will surface. I'm actually Australian so its nice to see shows outside of Aussie based around Aussie stuff, along with Tingha And Tucker

Yep, I was born in Philadelphia and watched Bertie as a kid! Fantastic to find this!
I watched Bertie the Bunyip and Sir Guy de Guy on channel 3 TV in the 1950's where I was born - Germantown Hospital - we lived in Elkins Park. Dad worked for Penn Fruit.
50's kids had some pretty neat shows and I'm still a Western fan!
BERTIE! What a great memory of my childhood. Thanks so much for posting this.
Loved the show. Wonderful to see Bertie again and to know he has a home along with Lee's other creations.
As a 70 yr old from south Philly I remember watching this as one of my childhood shows
Grew up watching Berti the Bunyip show . Even got a chance to see a live performance at Oxford Valley Mall many years later as an adult. Wow what memories. Thank you Lee Dexter .
I remember watching this show every Saturday morning! Classic and clean👍🏽
Such wonderful memories watching this grow up.
WONDERFUL THAT THE ORIGINAL BERTIE STILL EXISTS!!!
Thanks for posting. A good childhood memory
I loved Bertie the Bunyip when I was a child!
Thank you, Patti Smith, for mentioning Bertie the Bunyip during your interview with Tom Snyder on his infamous "Tomorrow Show." This was a formative influence for Patti when she was a child.
I grew with that show, too. Closing line: ".. and we're all on channel three!" Wish someone had a copy of an episode & its theme melodies. No, we must leave for the mysterious island, Tapioca.

I'm glad i've sparked your memories! I do wish that full episodes exist as well
I watched this show for years when I was a child. It was great and entertaining for all children. Of course it looks super corny, but it was not for it's time period. Watching it today though just makes me laugh out loud.
So enjoyed this show. Am 74 now. Sir guy de guy! Lol

Yup. 73 here. Don’t forget Fussey and Gussey.
That show should be in syndication, I'd watch it.
My brother and I attended one of these shows.
Was this great show only in the Philly area? Sad. I lived in NJ near Phila and remember the show fondly.
I'm broken hearted for knowing what my grandchildren are missing. Our world so full of evil for children. Oh Lord please help us.🙏🙏🙏
Were any of the shows filmed and available, such as Fussie & Gussie going to the moon?
So happy to see this
I remember one episode as a kid where they went into some kind of evil building and it freaked me out.
1:19 *Aw shit I haven't finished announcing yet!*
IS THAT MINNIE?
Never liked this show as a child and now as an adult I can understand why. It's creepy!
I watched Bertie the bunup. Every Sunday morning at my grandma's house. And Sir guidye guy.
