Thinking of getting a Bersa Firestorm just to have a .380 in my collection and given there's not too many options available in Commiefornia. Seems like a pretty neat lil gun and the price is right.

I own one Bersa firestorm in 380 ACP and I absolutely love that gun. The only downside is at 380. ACP is very expensive ammo but it is a real sweet shooter. If you get one you’re going to need additional magazines do not get Promag because they are crap get MecGar.

@@user-en1nw6nh7dI made that mistake, in 2014 was my first gun, showed myself how to shoot, after 2/3 weeks going weekly 380 got expensive to shoot at 19.99 for 50rds of Winchester, I’d get lucky here and there at Walmart and get Perfectas for 12.99 but rarely. A month later I purchase a Subcompact XD9, I payed 200$ more but shooting 2-3 times a month it saves a lot at 50rds for 9.99.

You can get 3 80s from sig. And a few other companies don't waste your money. You'll be sorry. I promise you. They are pieces of junk. That's why they don't cost much.

I have the firestorm. Great little shooter. Very accurate. When i was qualifying for my CCW with it the proctor thought i was missing the target. He was like "Dude you're hitting the same hole".

Great value

This was the first firearm I ever purchased back in 2014, I payed 299.99 before transfer fees! Great beginner gun, learned gun safety and tbh, the safety bright me so much peace of mind as a newby!

your video is the reason I just picked up this baby yesterday, taking it to the range this weekend. A pretty good concealed carry for someone with a slim build!

It’s basically a Thunder. IIRC, the only difference is the grip & trigger guard.

A couple of friends were talking about this gun so I checked your video and a couple others, pretty impressive for the price. Operation is the same as my Beretta…single action double action is good way to go imho.

Yes they are sold in Commifornia. Have owned one for about a decade. Zero problems with functionality. Everyone who has shot mine loves it. Carries easy. And shoots better than you. Only downside is the Bersa mags are expensive. Any time I see them in stock I buy one.

Bersa Firestorm is super accurate and fits my small hand perfectly. :-) . Only one thing, 380acp ammo is too expensive. Love the Bersa Firestorm :-)

Definitely do not use an aftermarket magazine. I purchased a used one for $199 and had nothing but jams. I did not know until I sent it to Bersa for repair that it had an aftermarket magazine in it. They replaced it with a Bersa magazine, and sent it back, within 3 weeks, in a nice box which I did not have at the time of purchase. One other caution using ammo... Do not use cheap Eastern European ammo such as Herzog.

For around 300 its a fantastic handgun. It's improved version of Ppk and Makarov. Neither of those 2 have slide release, Bersa has slide release, better safety and better sights. Super accurate too.

The ppk I agree with you on but the makarov for what it is fires a more powerful cartridge and has a slide release along with a decocker. Yeah it has the heel release which is like by some not by many but for 200 or a 100 more dollars then the Bersa it’s not a bad handgun.

Iv enjoyed mine but the aftermarket mags I have I do not like jammed twice but with factory mag no jams

I have 2 pro mags they have been ok so far

Ive had mine for a couple years now . Its a solid handgun I keep that one in the nightstand. Ive only had 1 malfunction and it was due to the ammo. I would recommend anyone looking to get it

Is it true that police officers will confiscate your gun after you use it for home defense? If that’s the case this is a great option.

In California if your involved in any shooting incident they will take all your guns until it is sorted. It is not a stand your ground state which means you must retreat when ever possible. Your guilty until proven innocennt

I’ll have to look into that. I don’t see why they would have to take all guns. Just the one used for self defense as evidence in a courtroom.

i had an ec9 and would carry it, but gave it to my daughter and . i have a bersa thunder for fun, but wouldn't bother carrying it as i can carry something more powerful in that size range. when i carry a 380 it's either a lcp 2 or my old 3at. the lcp has a better trigger of the two, but sometimes the 3at holster is a better fit.@@thepeyotecoyote5994

big hands? get the Bersa Thunder 380 Plus 15+1, bigger grip for sure, double stack, will fit better in your hand

I own 2 of them. And unfortunately, I have to say they are complete junk. They have a slide problem that the gunsmiths can't fix and you can't disassemble it without the possibility of taking hours for that slide to catch complete piece of junk very dangerous to use no quality control anymore. I'm gonna spend some money and get me a sig 380, at least I know. I can put the slide back on haha, ha.
