@Igor Horváth sure buddy the US that funds the biggest and most expensive military in the world will go bankrupt if it provided basic necessity's such as healthcare and education to all it's citizens. Something which every other developed country in the world managed to do. I sometimes wonder why the US citizens all collectively act like old bitter men that see everything free as a communist scam designed to ruin America, but now i realize that years of a bad education system had it's effect on you.

President Bush at the time knew the war could destabilize the Middle East so he was careful with his decision during the war since he was former CIA. Guess it does not run in the family though.

@@noodles5438 Not just that but the fall of the Soviet Union. They were careful with the Gulf War but the events in Yugoslavia and 9/11 allowed the US to go full force with Iraq.

Nobody was there to listen to this great and prophetic speech. What does that say about this country's elected officials? Bernie has always done his job.

The Bernie we see today is the same Bernie from the moment he came to Washington. His character never changed. He is not influenced by money. Has worked towards progress every single day of every single year. Who can ask for more than that in a candidate for President. Bernie 2016!!

+Brandonio Granger This video reminds me A LOT, almost deju vu, when Ron Paul ran last elections.... I watched his SAME video similar to this (Ron Paul Predictions, MUST see!). I saw so many Ron Paul supporters, and everything.... and then when the final decision came, the lobbyists and corrupt politicians chose RoMONEY instead of Ron Paul, even though Ron Paul had far more public support online and in my city of Miami. It was corrupt how they chose romney, and you know what, the same thing is going to happen to Bernie, I have a HUGE feeling the fools will elect Hillary even though she is under federal investigation as the Democrat candidate, simply because too many rich corporations and democrats themselves put money into her.... he will get ''Ron Pauled'' in the last democratic debate, I hate to say it but this corrupt system seems to prechose everything, ever since the 2000 elections its been nothing but bogus candidates nobody really supports in the mainstream!

+derty QWERTY 42°N I also think Bernie is too soft on Hillary when they debate. He admits that they are friends,and liking her,tho' I can't for the life of me begin to imagine why.. He's a real gent for sure,but must not only make the point that Hillary has been bought,but must drive it home.With real conviction. He can do it,without resorting to the tactics Hillary uses. Facts are facts.

No, he really isn’t. He was wrong on all fronts. Where were the social security cuts, the healthcare cuts? Spending on all those have continued to increase. This speech made Him look stupid..

Every single thing I have seen of Bernie Sanders, and I have been looking up quite a bit, has impressed me. He employs honesty, integrity, empathy and LOGIC in all things and has consistently displayed that for DECADES. This type of politician is so rare, we can't pass up this opportunity to have him for president. Bernie Sanders 2016!!!

Immediately into his very first term in the House, Bernie makes this important stand. Always, always, always there for the good of The People! Even though his fellow House Members would not bother to listen, I am so glad he did it to have in the record for posterity. #BERNIE2020

The Commander and Chief during the 1991 war was President Bush and he knew (since he worked in the CIA) that a war in the Middle East could destabilize the region and was very careful with his decisions during the war. Guess it does not run on the family.

This is powerful and builds my support for Bernie Sanders. Truly a once in a lifetime candidate.

Nobody was even listening but he still stood up to say exactly what needed to be said anyway, to an empty and unsympathetic room, not because it was politically expedient, but because it was the right thing to do. Bless you Bernie Sanders, you are a good and honest man.

He spoke with the same passion and purpose to an empty room as he does with a full room. We all should be more like that

Congressmen are not obliged to stay. Most will only stay in the chamber if they agree with the views being presented....

bernie needs to upload EVERY stump speech here. every interview, every debate. maybe even a live show 30 mins, 3 times a week. it won't take much. it's totally free to upload. I think, anyway.
