This breed was bred specifically for working on a farm, which is why it is so strong and muscular. The Bernese Mountain Dog is a big, kind dog that wholeheartedly joins his family. These dogs are very loyal, they always want to just be with you. The Bernese Mountain Dog can be used in different roles - as a guard dog, as a simple companion and friend for the whole family, in addition, it is great for children and can sometimes replace your nanny. 4:37 my mum's Bernese loves to do this, she grabs the leash in her teeth and pulls on it, and wants me to pull on it as well. If I let go of the other end, she picks it up and pushes it in my hand again :D

My BMD does this as well. Grant is only 5 months old and is a huge ham.
So, if Heaven doesn't look like this, id rather not go....

The most wonderful breed BUT they really need to be with their people 24/7. And, they deserve a full time parent not part timer who works away from him everyday

Do not get a dog like this just because you think it's cute. It's a lot of work and a money sink on four legs in terms of food, so choose carefully or your dog will suffer.
