Angelina has been writing songs since she was 10 years 0ld - So far 12 have been released: Oslo, What is Life?, Shield, Million Miles, 7th Heaven, Love Don't Let Me Go, Now I'm The Fool, Fire and Rain, All My Fault, Good in Goodbyes, Diamond, and Our Time. Angelina has stated that she has written about 100 songs that have yet to be released. Her songs are taken from her Journal writings. When she was 10/11 she rewrote the Lyrics to Amy Winehouse's Back to Black and Rehab to make them more age-appropriate at that time. "This is not what I thought it was going to be." No worries! This song had been around for 45 years by the time Angelina decided to slow it down, strip it back, add her gorgeous unique, aspirate tone and - at the same time - make you feel every word of it. *Nobody* would have expected this because it had never been done before. Even Angelina fans at that time were surprised and blown away, and we *knew* what she was capable of. In fact, Queen liked it so much they allowed Angelina to copyright her rendition! Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, and Adele to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, "Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 18 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. On December 11, 2023, she was asked to come back and perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. She first performed at this prestigious event in 2014 when she was 8. On Feb.29th, 2024, she performed 2 shows on one night at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. 2:30 and you're in lala land except you're still awake and functioning. 🙂 She sounds like EVERYONE, she has been singing HER ENTIRE LIFE (since 1 and 1/2 in bed with a microphone singing lines from a Whitney Houston song!!!). We react to every sound, every note, every word she sings and, more than any other thing, our heart is taking it all in and that stirring around inside us is because our heart is sending messages to the other parts of our body telling them how great she is and how much love she has and we will now carry that love around with us. Definitely she has been around for a long time since she started singing at the tender age of 18th months and celebrated her 18th birthday on Jan 10, 2024. No one has honored the legend Freddie Mercury with such an emotional performance with this iconic song as far as I know. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. @@bermeatic If you look for the "Mercy" cover, you'll see that she originally performed it in the studio for a movie soundtrack (the "Hating Game"), which is great but you can't see her singing in that one. If you want to watch her perform it, look for the "Mercy" cover where she sung it live during her Las Vegas shows this past February. Sizzling vocals there. Enjoy.

I suspect you will be hearing from many AJ fans about her life's work.... her first video on line at the age of 18 months is a short selection from Whitney Houston - not great, but recognizable! Everything she has done is worth listening to and she is even better live on stage. I have been to two concerts, one in Norway and one in New Hampshire. BTW, she moved from Norway to Los Angeles at the age of 12 to pursue her career and was signed to Republic Records at age 14.... she is now 18 and recently performed two concerts in one night in Vegas. I am approaching my eighth decade and she is at the top of the list of my favorite singers. You will not regret listening to more - and she may even resolve your insomnia with a sense of peace.
