Limited conscription is acceptable but only if you still have enough manpower, if you’re low like he is then you need to switch

as a mongolia player who just takes over a few China warlords I can confirm that it's easy to keep the Sovs in the fight with a couple cavalry divisions and mountain divisions

10:01 You can actually retreat offensively, if you retreat the division so that the green arrow appears, then click on the province you want to attack they will actually be able to move, Pinning is kinda not a thing currently - though it is kinda an exploit, but retreating seems to be kinda broken rn anyway, sometimes just won't let you retreat for no good reason.

This disaster save kind of reminds me of one of my own hoi4 games. Back before there was fuel, i played a Japan game, conquored China and then prepared to join Germany and blitz the pacific when ww2 started. When ww2 did start, everthing went well for a while: Poland, France, the Benelux, Denmark and even Norway fell while i took indochina, indonesia and even Burma. Then, everything went wrong when Germany declared war on the USSR (i didn't join that war). They failed to realy advance deep into the USSR and then when the Soviets counterpushed and the allies D-dayed Germany fell. While Germany was falling apart, Spain was still having its civil war and nationalists joined axis and the republicans joined allies, and quickly nationalist Spain fell. Italy was braindead and also fell to invasions. This left me as the only axis member so i began my quest to save the axis. First i took out Australia, New Zeeland, India and all the little allied footholds in the pacific/indian ocean. I then began my invasion of allied controled Africa by invading South Africa and moving north until i controled the entire continent. I then invaded Spain and put Franco in control of entire Spain. I then attacked France and defeated them as well when i entered Paris. After killing the Benelux and liberating Italy and Germany, i invaded the UK and capitulated them. Now, you would think that that would be it right? Well you are wrong. You see, part of the reason why i was able to do all this was the fact that the comintern and the allies went to war after defeating Germany, so many allied troops were busy attacking the USSR. Well, just as i finished liberating Spain, they defeated the USSR, turned them democratic and made them join their faction. So, after i took down the UK, i had to go towards the east to defeat Russia. While Russia did not have too many troops (thankfuly) it was still a pain walking towards their victory points. However, here the story turns for one final time because, just as Russia was about to die, Turkey joined the allies. So, after i killed Russia, i had to deal with Turkey as the final foe. It was not hard but just anoying. After breaking through their mountains, the war finnaly ended on Christmas day 1944 as Japanese troops entered Ankara. After the peace deal, i took my troops on a trans-continental railroad ride as their reward for going on this massive adventure. Soon, they got to Vladivostok and were then farried towards Japan and then railroaded to Tokyo where i can only immagine how big of a celebration was taking place to honour the returned troops for their epic adventure that granted them victory. And that was the story of how in a paralel universe, Japan won ww2 by themselves.

If you have higher than +40 relations (ideally +60) most of the non aligned arabic and asian states will send u a lot of Guns, Artillery and Support Equipment 😊 Could be a bit cheesy doe and I remember u not liking that

Oh, so the Bulgarian Waffen SS Regiment from the exiled government carried the game I imagine.

You know bittersteel I love to play as Bulgaria so much(I am not Bulgarian) that I can play it many times without getting bored because of the amount of power surge they can get. They are just like Soviet Union( in NSB) where they get too many broken and powerful National Spirit and Leaders but, much earlier which makes their rise unbelievably quick. I mean look at Bulgarian Patriarchate, +0.5 PP gain and +0.15 daily compliance gain is insane. Also, they get too many reduction on time to justify war goals. I just feel so sad they don't get to shine in multiplayer simply because they don't have any research bonuses which minor nations are supposed to get. Like Hungary can rush fighter 2 and romania can rush fighter 3 as they get only one bonus on researching fighter. Whereas bulgaria has only one viable option, Infantry equipment research bonus or artillery research bonus(can't focus on both). But, they lack industry. Manpower will come as PP isnt a issue and they can core every state in Bulkan and even get 50% recruitable pop. With just greece and Yugoslavia in hand, they can get army larger than that of romania and hungary combined because of the amount of recruitable pop factor they get.

Good to meet another Indian HoI4 player! I just finished a game as Belgium where I helped beat both the Axis and the Comintern one after the other. Now playing a France that is leading the Little Entente against the Axis and the Comintern simultaneously. Unfortunately, I don't have the expansions, so no access to the special focus trees of smaller countries. Would love to play these countries though!

Join the Axis and you basically can get almost all of the Balkans (Yugo and Greece) without having to fight for it all that much. Just let Germany and Italy beat them, ask for occupation, gain compliance and core. Third Bulgarian Empire path is amazing

Some of these games, assuming they weren't borked on purpose, explain to me very nicely how the corporate world works as it does. Putting effort in that mobile warfare doctrine while having neither the tech nor the industrial base to actually do anything with is just like them trying to implement agile processes, so we can work more efficiently yet making it so that we've never worked as inefficiently in our lives. I'd say the people wo send these games in would make great managers. Not understanding excrement about copulation yet still trying to look like a chad :D.

Because I had several mobilization laws available still. And I never use that branch so i kinda forgot about it

I think a lot of ppl don't know that, so I will throw it in here. When you are a minor and don't have the research capacity, you can buy production licenses for foreign equipment. So just ask your faction leader germany to produce those Fighter IIs of his. Or ships are usually also a research heavy endeavor. Get a license instead. Live off someone elses research.

To me it looks like they won in China but is struggling in the desolate shithole of sinkiang which is natural considering the non existent infrastructure there. Its like how the soviet Union can beat Germany but if a rebellion breaks out in Tajikistan they will never win.

I can't deny i have no clue what this person did this entire game, besides building Infrustructure. But I will say for small countries I feel like Field Hospitals are fantastic, it helps keep loses insanely low compared to without them. It makes your armies more durable so they don't lose the Experienced troops and can make loses go from 100k to 10k to even 1k depending on the level.

What’s the threshold for mobile warfare? I was playing a Kaiserreich game, but I didn’t have enough medium tanks to train more divisions, so I started training infantry. By the end of the game, my allies (Italy, Hungary, Austria, Lithuania) decided to go to war with the allies (Uk and dominions, France, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Romania, Belgium) and Comintern (Trotskyist Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Communist China, Republican Spain) while I still had a 70 division army with a 6:1 infantry to motorised/armor ratio. I’m thinking that my doctrine kind of screwed me, because I was holding pretty well for a time until i started having to fall back a bit

It's not that it gives you any defuffs or anything like it, you are just getting massive bonuses for tank/mech/motorized divisions which you don't have, when you could have gone superior firepower and you'd have godly bonuses for your infantry, you are just voluntarily not buffing your troops and wasting valuable xp, and in the late game where everyone has maxed out doctrine trees, those bonuses stack up to what makes the difference.

I will always select Mobile Warfare for my 2 tanks units! Mostly for that 5% manpower... great on small nations. Mass Assault just feels like shit (maybe partly cause it's so short as well)

@@klake5375 as I said, I don't like using that one, so the only other option is Mobile :P at least it feels like a "proper" doctrine. Taking superior firepower with majors, where manpower isn't (as big) an issue.
