Bergtagen - Said Belhaj

Спорт

Bergtagen - A film about rock climbing paradise Bohuslän on the Swedish west coast with Said Belhaj.
Bohuslän has long been famous for its first-class traditional climbing and bouldering, but the last few
years world class sport climbing has also been developed in the area. Climber Said Belhaj has led a
nomadic lifestyle for over 20 years. He has travelled the world, chasing new climbing adventures.
When the pandemic stopped him from travelling, he put all his energy into developing climbing in Bohuslän, where his life as a climber once started. It resulted in five newly developed crags with over 50 bolted routes of varying styles and difficulties. We accompany him when he gathers some of the most passionate climbers in Sweden and ventures Bohuslän’s cliff faces to enjoy climbing and learn from each other.
••• Featuring •••
Said Belhaj together with fellow climbers and friends - Hannes Puman, Emelie Holmén, Ulrika Tiegs and Stefan Wulf.

It's so beautiful to see free minded people like said thrive as professional climbers. And it's so amazing that there is video footage of him. I thought there were technical difficulties each time he climbs.

You cant just go for that guide. Its not complete. Sometimes they have just one reported route when there are 30 more routes already on a crag. They knew that but didnt care. These new crags are not there. Be were! There are hundreds of fault in that guide book. Because of this others have reported already climbed routes on crags and even bolted , trad climbs done years ago! Work with the locals and share profits with the local climbing club! They dont live locally either!

The film is nice. But on a access point of view, I´m worried. This is quite disappointing. Advertising this? We have climbed these crags for many years before ,but mostly in winter because many of them are potential crags for nesting birds. There are ofcourse a few trad lines since before but we only tried to climb in the autumns. Will this prevail? With sportclimbers you attract the masses. Please dont climb on any of these crags in spring and summer! In winter (if it ever again becomes winter) we have developt fantastic winter climbs(beginning 2000) especially at Korpkullen. There is also one good crack climbed at Toröd as late as 2018( maybe some climbed it before?). Lilla Borg are not a bird nesting crag and I have added 7 trad routes +60m long (2-4rpl) on this crag 2021. We thought already in the ninetees to climb on the big wall Korpkullen and Guletorsk (trad ofcourse) but avoided that because of nesting birds (only some minor climbing had been dunn). Did you consult BKK boltcommitty before this enormous new crag development? I´m not a partypooper, but just concerned about the environtment around these crags. And please stay away bolting the tradlines. / Sincerly JO

A nice video but really strange to see that Petzl supports climbers that have harmed the integrity and credibility of climbing on a very large scale.

The thing is, you can complaining all you want but the reality it is that one person questioned whether he did AD or not. If you want to argue he did not film himself then you have to call into questions tonnes of ascents. Why don't you complain under any video Paul Robinson posts? Where's his footage of lucid dreaming? It's a case of he said she said. You can't confirm or deny what happened.
