Ayy! Glad to see you review this. 1. Your skin looks great! Super glowy and radiant. 2. Oh my god, the burn! I find that it burns when I rub it directly to my eyes, I can wipe it from the edges of my eyes and it felt a lot better. 3. Yes, the lack of waterproofing is such a bummer but I'm so glad that it doesn't slip off white. I have worked out with this and I stilllll think it rules. The downsides included, I think it's such a bomb sunscreen.

I appreciate Dr. Naana Boakye for creating the Sheer Joy Sunscreen SPF 50+. This is the only sunscreen that I am seeming to have success with as a deep, dark-skinned Black man with facial hair. Specifically, because I am allergic to chemical sunscreens and develop painful, itchy rashes when I apply them and because most mineral sunscreens make me look ashy and dull and/or horribly dry my skin out with reapplications. I love that this mineral sunscreen does none of the aforementioned. It even blends in well in my beard and hairline. Finding the right sunscreen for my needs has been such an ordeal that's lasted since last spring. Thank you, Dr. Boakye! PS: The tip that Rhesa gave me to only apply a very thin layer around my area worked like a charm to stop any stinging that occurred in my eyes while still giving my eye are skin protection. Another boon since every other mineral eye area sunscreen I tried caked in every line/crevice and eventually left a cast with reapplication.

I brought the sheer joy and it feels exactly like a hybrid and very odd how it has no white cast on me and I’m dark, Megan tha stallion for reference, Also she has removed it from her website. If it was perfect why change the formula, sumthing anit adding up yall 🤦🏾‍♀️

@@talyaortiz8100 I corresponded with Dr. B last week to ask if she would be correcting the fact that this sunscreen stings the eyes terribly when it runs like if I sweat (making it imperfect despite that it leaves no cast). She affirmed that is one of the things she hopes to address in the reformulation as that too bothered her.

Hi Benonon! The lack of white cast in that sunscreen is super impressive. It seems like it has some downsides but I was really impressed with that aspect of it! Wow! Would love to see your review of Walgreens Sensitive Skin SPF 50, to compare with this review! Nice to see you again! ❤️

@Benenon, I just received Sheer Joy and to say the most, I am feeling sheer joy. Pun intended! When I say there is no cast, there is no cast. I am like what sorcery is this? Where is the cast?There is none. I am shook. I need to stock up, for real. Thanks for being the guinea pig for us and trying different sunscreens. We appreciate ya!

i just got mine too, im actually worried that it has zero cast as ive read in many articles its impossible to use zinc oxide and it go on clear :\ May i ask, is yours very watery or more of a cream when you pump it out (like in her video ? ) mine literally runs down the back of my hand

@@designsforgo8381 Also, it is my understanding that the reason why there is zero cast is because the sunscreen uses a process that includes micronized zinc, which is a very expensive process to do.

Was it still runny after you gave it a good shake? Hopefully they get that replaced for you.

Kinda disappointed that it stings the eyes as it is a physical sunscreen 😔😔 but I will still like to try it 😭

I'm still like it but you just have to be careful around the eyes!

I use Dr. V's Inzincable sunscreen and I think that they are both similar. I also have oily skin and what I do after applying the sunscreen, is that I pull the oily film down to my neck, after having rubbed the suscreen into my skin first. This helps a lot.

@@benenon No! You need to work or massage it into your skin properly. It has absolutely no cast. I‘m a man, and it‘s the only sunscreen I use when going out.

Sorry it does leave white cast, i have used it and was greatly disappointed and even worst, it broke me out with rashes

Since trying this have you found a good matte mineral sunscreen? I literally can’t find a single one that doesn’t look greasy on me. Gonna try Dr Vanita rattan inzincable, wish me luck

It's being reformulated. I loved it how it was, but this is supposed to be with cleaner ingredients. I hope they hurry!

It burns my eyes every time it runs into it. I've just been avoiding the eye area.

The Sheer Joy spf has been taken out of her website I wonder if the ingredients weren’t accurate because to me it smells and feel like a regular chemical sunscreen, I wonder if it’s another Purito type case 😑

It was taken off because it is being reformulated with "cleaner ingredients". I am grateful for that, but I hope they hurry because these other ones ain't getting it.

Good reapplication after blotting but it is a heavier sunscreen so it might feel slightly heavier on the skin.
