The berg is beautiful. I’m not sure how the physics of disc flight works but it somehow can do everything for you all at once. You can throw it as hard as you want, even on forehands, and it doesn’t turn over accidentally. But at the same time, it holds a super straight line, and doesn’t have a dumpy fade like most overstable discs do. It’s somehow overstable and dead straight at the same time. Also, I feel like my misthrows with the berg end up a lot closer to the basket than I would expect. Everyone needs one

@@Jason-Moon 🤣💪🏻 I love it bro. I am absolutely positive I’m going to lose at least 1 disc today. Playing by a river and it’s down hill same direction the winds blowing. Lol I have a few discs I can risk though. Winds picking up even more now. We have a wind warning of gusts up to 50. 💪🏻 time to bust out the heavy guns.

When I first bought one off Amazon I threw it three times, walked in the house and order another one. It flies and then it dies. Love it. It's kind of like throwing a ham sandwich!

The only disc to massively effect my average score. Every upshot is a forehand berg. Also great for passing with a buddy since it doesn't hurt to catch.

Just lost my Pig, about to pull the trigger on a Berg to fill the slot. You were the final straw!

I have a K1(soft) and a K3(hard) Berg. K3 is great but the K1 is unstoppable. I don’t use it to putt but I guess I’ll have to give it a try so then I’ll only need one disc and have more room for beers.

I use the berg for both upshots and putting. First it was on approach duty only but it's nice to have the consistency of using just one mold for both and now I don't have to switch discs because of the wind. The K1 Soft is amazing!

I want to get my self a berg. Looks like a sweet disc. Great video guys

"I've seen discs sit better" You also threw it 100ft away, downhill, on leaves. It stopped within 8 feet of your target. I'd say that sat very, very well. I'm gonna pick me up one of these.

My friends on the course call it my hubcap. I use it for my putting putter too. I'm a weirdo that way.

I loved seeing the look of defeat when they made a really good throw with it. For me personally, it's the best point and shoot disc I've thrown. First putter I've been able to throw without worrying about it just flipping and dumping over. Til I got my glow Berg, I never felt comfortable throwing putters.

Pretty funny that you wanted to hate on it and proceeded to actually shoot well with it when you hit your line. Just admit it - it's a good disc!

Just curious -- what disc do you bag for the role that the Berg plays in your bag? I use the Pig for overstable approaches but there are some things that the Berg can do that my Pig cannot at least at the moment (maybe a beat Pig could do similar things )

I have 2 discs in my bag. Bergs and others.

I bag 3 K3 Bergs as my putting putters, 1-2 K1 Soft Bergs for approaches, and I’m considering adding a K1 Berg for when I want a touch more overstability.

You guys should definitely do more content on the course. I do like the disc ranking videos but not as much as any course video

I’m a fairly new player and the berg is the first putter I’ve played with that I feel comfortable throwing. The thumb track makes it for me

Had no idea that you guys were locals, then was like “Wait…….wtf? I recognize this course!” Suwannee Creek DGC was my nemesis course when I first started playing disc golf in August, as I’d hit every GD tree and catch every horrible downhill roll on the place, but now that I have a better skill set and a nice bag full of great plastic, I love playing there. Keep up the good content.

I swapped my Pig for the soft K1 after too many roll aways. Straightest forehand at any power, decent putter.

interesting, the k1 berg i bought wasn’t that forgiving on upshots but on full rips it definitely didn’t glide, furthest i got that was 300

That’s the point…you can rip on it and go for shots you normally wouldn’t without a large comeback putt

Looks all right. But I’m not sure what I would get from a berg that I couldn’t get from a harp.

Fun video guys…I’d love to get a Berg for my bag. I live in New England with lots of elevation changes and think the Berg can help.

Berg is My upshot disc. It's so slow that it drops down like a leaf. Great driving disc also for short holes. Stokely lovea Berg also for a gold reason.

I wanted to love the Berg but just couldn't find it's spot in my bag.

i have a Berg, I thtow it. But i throw a Yikun claws ( Polecat ripoff ) too and it cost $12 , compared to $28 for the K1 Soft. Canadian Dollars So if you pay so much for a disc you're going to LOVE it more

I think the berg can be a good disc but I prefer my star aviar3 more comfortable than the berg and does alot more

It’s been a staple in my bag since my first throw with it. 10/10 would recommend.

Even though you guys scoffed and sarcastically ripped the Berg. It flew pretty well for you. I also was a skeptic but recently I tried it for my up shots and surprisingly to me I hit 3 shots outside cir 2. I still use my tactic for ground play shots or my soft harp for possible roll aways but on a soft run it's the Berg. Try it yourself against your up shot disc.

My fiancé found me in bed with a butterscotch soft premium plastic Berg. I was just trying out new grips but she was not happy.

I think it’s awesome that Luke disliked that he threw so well with the berg, love the berg and love your guys videos!

No, the Pig is an overstable approach disc. The Berg is a straight flying disc that won’t punish you for over powering it. Flight numbers are very different for each. Both are great tho! I bag both and use them in different situations.

Lol Berg is an overrated disc. I have a couple 🤷🏻‍♂️ I rather throw pigs lol I mean… it’s an Overstable putter and low glide. There are lots of things on the market. Only thing not overrated is their plastic 🤙🏻

The Pig and Berg aren't fighting for the same slot though. I mean you could argue the Pig verses the Zone verses the Harp for sure, but the Berg isn't battling the Pig for that slot in my opinion. I bag both the Berg and the Harp, because I want a straight putter for tight woods courses and upshots inside 150', and the Harp for dependable fade and for long approach shots inside 250' to 275'. Used to bag the Pig and like the Harp better because I have smaller hands and it just feels better. But I felt like the Pig under performed in the woods and tight holes at shorter distances.

@@4HorsemenDiscGolf Good to know 👍🏻 I’ll keep my Glow Berg for nostalgic reasons. It’s a great slow up shot disc for sure in my opinion. But… not for me. Not my style. I have no luck with Harps lol. Just don’t dare for them at all. Some of the R-Pro Pigs I had lacked a lot of stability. But the Ricky signature firm/flats were a total different pig then stock runs. My slot is a 350g A2. I have on the bigger length hands and finger span. I usually have a hard time with mid-ranges. Stuck with a 750 A3 for that slot. Rarely ever have Mid’s in my bag for that reason, unless I’m practicing or trying a new mold haha 😂

@@KnKPanda Everyone has different size hands, dry hands, sweaty hands, play in the super humid environments or the arid ones, etc. That's why I never call a disc overrated. It might just not fit your comfort level and throwability, whereas it may be exactly the disc someone else needs. At the end of the day we all need approach discs that goes left, straight and right. Whichever manufacturer we end up choosing and whatever mold fits our needs shouldn't be a debate, but it ALWAYS somehow is. lol

This disc is trash throw the zone.

The berg is hot garbage, completely overrated
