I bought this watch recently, and here are my thoughts. Other than the branding, which is Benyar, not Rolex, this watch is about 99% identical with the Rolex from the front. From the back, the two watches are totally different. The Benyar has a display back revealing a fairly humdrum undecorated movement. The Rolex has no display back. Indeed, it's rather blah. As for the bracelet, I paid little attention to it because I dislike metal bracelets and as with any braceleted watch I buy, it arrived with a wrist strap. In this case, I bought a safety orange silicone strap to pick up the color of the lightning bolt seconds hand. The combination is very striking indeed. I know people will be asking me about this watch because it's hard to ignore. Clearly you aren't attracted to this watch from the get go and your review bristles with that fact. So, I say, "If this is the kind of watch you like, you will like this watch." Back to the movement. Reviewers kind of dismiss it as "a cheap Chinese movement." Well, I put it to the test with a watch timer and it's right on the money. No deviation at all. Forget Rolex's +/-2 seconds. A +/-2 second Rolex Milgauss is less accurate than this $54.99 Benyar homage. I don't pretend that this is a great watch. The movement may become less accurate over time and need service for that or other possible reasons. If it does, I'll gladly simply buy another one.

A lot of good points. Now that you mention putting it on an orange silicone strap, I could see how it would look really good with that seconds hand.

One more thing I like about this watch that applies both to the Rolex original and all of the faithful-to-the-original homages. It's a minimalist watch without looking like a barebones minimalist Watch. It's a three-hander without even a date complication. It's got a unique "look" without looking too busy design-wise.

The movement "may" not only become less accurate "over time", but it "will" become very inaccruate within "a short period" of time.

I'm looking at the one I'm wearing right now and am tending to disagree! I own a couple of Rolexes, but wear the Benyar more often, and it keeps better time than my Datejust! I love it - and for the £55 I paid for it, it's amazing value! The bracelet on mine is very uniform in finish and matches the case very well, whereas yours has quite different tones. I imagine that Benyar have upgraded it. Anyway, for the money and quirkiness...I love it, and when it claps out, no big deal!

I think they printed SS on the case back because that's the only part that is SS. I haven't scratched the case but I think it's probably plated brass.:)

the band looks better than the invicta pro diver for 60 I'm trying the black bay type

For the same money you can buy Lige Design with 28.800 bph movement,i own it and is a fantastic watch.

The Case is not made of stainless steele, it´s alloy. So it is not polished, it´s chromed. I got it in a sale for 36 Euro. For this price it´s a real cool watch.

I was searching for a cheap watch that i can use for work i had my eye on this one and was about 48€ on aliexpress i ended up buying a benyar datejust hommage for 28euro it has the st6 movement the first thing i noticed was how heavy it was compared to any other stainless steel watches i owned. Brass is heavier than stailess steel so it could very well that the case is just chrome plated brass

I like the Milgauss... I have seen worse but I don't know if I would buy it.

Ive got one as a beater and ive not had one complaint with it plus it cost me like 35quid so thats why its my beater lol but lots of people have asked more about this watch more than my omega when i wear it lol

Didn't the reviewer notice that the back says SAINLESS, and not STAINLESS? That alone is reason to not take a chance. Also, the brushed portions of the watch do not match the color of the watch case. And it isn't simply due to the texture. Some of it is texture, but it is clearly a different metal. If the watch had a brushed bezel it might help with the color and also fingerprints and damage.

I understand there is a Pagani Design version and this company seems somehow related to Benyar being a bit more premium, so I would expect several upgrades without even looking, such as a sapphire crystal and maybe a Seiko or other better movement.

I've got both and the benyar is so much better and it's cheaper, so on this one I'd say go benyar

Thanks for the video maybe next video you should breakout the angle grinder and cut the watch in half lol I think the only stainless steel of the case is that case back Thanks for the video my friend 👍

I have the Benyar with the teal blue face, very nice looking watch but that band they put on the is absolutely trash.

My 400$ watch has mineral glass , cheap not matching bracelet.
