I don't understand something -- I always heard that the death-control-input was pushing the cyclic forward and unloading the rotor.... how the heck are all these cats pushing the stick forward and it's no problem? I must be missing something.

Mr. Davis gliding backwards reminds me of “Walking the tail” down during a hammerhead fixed wing aerobatic maneuver. Wag you tail and keep it straight. Very nice.

That guy at the ten minutes mark really knows his stuff. Almost like seeing the gyrocopter being showcased into what it can do at one end of the flying spectrum to the other!

It was interesting to watch the smoke when Mr Davis was in a vertical descent. The smoke was not pulled through the rotors in a manner which I had expected.

That's a wicked stick shake at 19:19. You wouldn't put up with a shake like that if it was your car steering wheel so why put up with it in a gyro?

Just looking at "The Renegade" 25:03 - Is that tail assembly strong enough ??? It seems OK in the video, but could it fatigue with only being mounted at the bottom ??? (Haven't watched all through yet, but love what I've seen so far). Thanks !!!

Bensen is sometimes credited as the inventor of the *modern* gyrocopter--he came up with the basic design that most modern ones follow; de la Cierva's was rather different, shaped more like an airplane with a propeller in front and stubby wings.

I'm looking for the best flight time. Lowest fuel burn possible. I like, REALLY like the Rotex 912 Any ideas? Also, what's the limit on fuel tank size? I'm in the USA And Yes, I am new to this. I will begin flight time this spring, looking for something to learn on and travel. Thank You. Great Video.

Can't buy a Dominator anymore unless you can find plans or used one not many come up for sale for a good reason!!!!! as you can see from 10:00 minutes on this video the Dominator with a 912 aviomania is another gyro with a 912 and of course the expensive but great gyro the M912 sports copter but any CLT gyro will work great with the dependable 912!

Are those ballistic chutes under the frame or extended fuel tanks?

Cameron Lapworth no ballistic chutes under gyros because they would probably get caught up in the rotors

@@GyroGerald it's been tried in the past. That was my instinct too. A few people fitted them pointing down to fire under the airframe. The idea being that if they unloaded the rotor (negative g). It would allow them a shot and they argued that in a negative g incident the rotor the quickly stops. Just wondering if it had become a trend or if it died out as an idea.

Why are there no Gyro's with 3 Blade Rotors or 4.... other than parking them being a consideration ? Weight, strength ?

Don’t know but it might just be redundant to have another blade. Plus like you said more weight would be involved

+Alex Oliveira tenho o face do Eduardo mas eles são fábrica eles vendem o h1 é rotor mas eu quero contruir o meu próprio e compra o rotor deles já comprei um projeto no mercado livre mas é em inglês e não gostei muito do projeto ti aí na busca
