I remember when this airport was on the east side of town and a grass strip. Then it moved to its current location and still was nt much going on. They did extend the runway quiet a few years ago. Probably more departures and arrivals during this event than the rest of the year combined.i grew up in Hardee county and have flown into this airport many times.

Yes, sure did. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It was a great time with a ton of gyros and innovative engineering ideas to check out. Now it’s time for Sun n Fun ‘19 starting Wednesday!

2:30 That white gyro seems to approach closely to the yellow two-seater on the runway. Is that normal operations? Fixed-wing pilot wants to know. Being passenger on an open-air gyro is on my bucket list. I live on north side of Atlanta. How can I arrange a tandem demo flight? Thanks

Are Dominator kits still being made / sold? I tried looking them up but it seems the manufacturer's website is gone... :(

@8:00 There's a "whirly gig" up top, but where's the "pusher thingy" in the back...Must be one of those new and improved 21st century Gyros....

ToyManFlyer1100 - The pusher thingy is right on the end of the tail. Its axis of rotation is perpendicular to the direction of travel, so I guess it works like the paddles on a paddle-steamer.
