okay but this whole setup is so clean and organized, like it looks like the kind of model offices you find at ikea ! I've never actually looked into ever getting a screen bar, and to be extremely honest, never heard of it lol but looks cool man !

The wake up thing is what killed the Halo for me. I like things to work on a snap. If I have to keep waving my hand every time I want to use the thing, that's gonna get old real fast. Probably gonna go with the Plus. Can you say exactly how long the dial cable is?

Yeah if you don't need the smart features, go with the Plus.

Can you use rechargeable batteries for the Halo remote?

I don't see why not. It is the same as a regular batter except it can be recharged.

Great review Eric. The only thing missing for me though is: which energy supply do the bars have? Native socket or USB?

Both can be power by USB.

how long does the battery of the remote last? (BenQ Halo). i mean I f I have to replace them every so often it could be annoying.

It really depends on how often you use the light, but you'll probably have to replace it every few months if it's daily usage. I've only replaced it once since I've owned them, but I don't use it every day I only use the light on occasion. It doesn't drain much when sitting idle. Hope that helps you.

Are the max brightness levels same on both products? And have you compared these to other light bars? I have a Red Dragon GML-113 and am not fully satisfied with its max brightness.

The Lux (light intensity) is a little higher for the Plus but I didn't notice any real difference in overall brightness. The Halo has more desk coverage though since it's a bigger light. You can't really go wrong with either in my opinion though.

@@EricTMeraki more interesting would be if the minimum brightenss is lower on the halo. I find that even on lowest setting the screenbar plus is just toooooo bright.

Thanks for watching. They're both great options. I would think the Plus would be fine for most people. The Halo has some extra features but if you don't care about those, go for the Plus.

I like that wireless part of Halo 🤔. Big question as noob like me, what’s the purpose of this screen light ?

It really to light up your desk space actually. Think of it as a space saving desk light.

Usual lamps flicker at 60Hz/s and spread light across areas of your workplace. Light bars do not flicker so strong. At least the ones from this video. This saves your eyes while working or reading.

I'm very disappointed Benq sells the webcam adapter for another 20 euros instead of including it by default on a piece of equipment for that price. It's just a cheap piece of plastic smh...

I don't think you even need it. I've seen ppl on Reddit mount their webcam on top of the light bar and they haven't reported any issues.

It can be used. If you watch my video it just can't be used on 1000R curved screens but you might be able to hack it.

My ultrawide is 1900R, which light bar would suit that better?

They both would work well with thar curve. Just see if you prefer wired vs wireless control dial.
