Just stumbled on your channel but I like your mellow vibe and clear unbiased thorough analysis. It was also refreshing how you brought in the 'like subscribe' call out. Bless you for not saying "Smash" the like button. I can't tell you how many of these KZread YeeHaws get my subscribe unsubscribed with they keep yelling about smashing an imaginary button. Again - great straight forward smooth style with an economy of words. Great voice too BTW.

Great comparison video, Watts! Thanks for featuring my setup. I have the BenQ screen bar plus which is a bit more expensive than the standard screen bar. I like that the plus version has the dial to easily adjust the brightness and color temperature without having to reach up to the top of my screen. I have short arms so reaching up to the top of my screen every time I want to adjust would be super inconvenient for me. 🙈

I personally own the Baseus & BenQ screen bar over a year now with heavy usage. I purchased the BenQ because of the great reviews and figured it will be a good fit for my BenQ monitors staying in the eco system but the baseus has been much better on my eyes. The BenQ after adjusting are simply too bright the only thing is that it feels more secure on the monitor and I love using the control. Trust me you not missing anything with the BenQ.

Nice Video! I have never heard of this Baseus Monitor Light Bar before. I have 2 Quntis Light Bar on 2 different setup which has very similar spec (Auto dimming and color temperature) to the more expensive BenQ. Also a third of the price of the BenQ. I like your channel!

Baseus makes a lot of awesome products at great bang-for-your-buck value. I originally found the brand through the awesome chargers they make, then noticed that their batteries and so on. Very interesting brand that people are sleeping on.

I put the BenQ on my other setup. Can't go wrong with either at the end of the day.

If only I didn’t have an old iMac. I love the way these make the desk light up. Now I’m looking at tower lights for beside the iMac instead.

I’ve seen some lights that clamp on to the desk be recommended to me on Amazon and I’ve seen them in setup pics here and there. If you’re curious, search “OTUS LED Desk Lamp for Home Office” to see what I mean

Neither, the Yeelight Pro Lightbar is excellent. It has a remote that works perfectly, a separate backlight. I wanted to buy the BenQ, but a friend recommended the Yeelight. My monitor has a light „hump“ on the back, but it still fits fine. It‘s great for working and gaming. My eyes are less strained! Oh, the backlight is either RGB (customizable) or normal lighting, another nice feature. Hope this helps.

I say better goes on with the iMac as it would keep you and your MacBook connected also as the same kind of experiences in desktop computers..

Great video man. I wanna add something like this to my desk. I’ll between the BenQ or one of the alternatives.

The mat is a fairly cheap ones considering the ones in other people’s setup. Mat - amzn.to/3QI1IEg (AL)

Maybe you can try flip the RK84 keyboard frame so the logo is in the backside. It'll look minimalist. Nice quality video & sleek voice tho.

lol it's a $15 mat I found off amazon from an obsecure brand. Looks good but also...the material feels like $15 haha. If you want me to find a link to it, let me know.

Went here after receiving a reply regarding your Asus ProArt post. I guess it's safer not to put a light bar on my set up, unless I can find one where I can just put it "on" my monitor and not actually clamping it. Thank you so much for your insights!

The BenQ version is like that. It isn't putting pressure on the monitor bezel like the Baesus one but it is 3 times the cost. No problem!

@@JaizeDee Yep. That counterbalance part at the back is doing a lot of the work to keep it on the monitor. The part that rests on the monitor bezel is like a guide.

I gave my benq to my wife and now I have no light bar. My intended to find an alternative and then take my benq back. You’re doing the lord’s work.

I’m definitely cool with just having the Baseus one for 30 something since it does everything I needed it to do. Don’t get me wrong, I still rock with BenQ for their products but the price point compared to the competition ain’t it

Haha it's funny that you ask. This is a $10 one from Amazon. It's felt but it reminds me of the material in car trunks. It isn't the best quality like the ones from leading manufacturers but there are some good ones at competitive prices on Etsy

I don't own an Xiaomi so I can't offer much. I'd pay attention to the mechanism of how it sits on the monitor and see if there is a pattern problem in the lower star reviews.

I've seen a picture of someone doing it and you can adjust the orientation of the light so it doesn't hit the monitor. It's truly up to you since I don't have any experience with a setup like that.

Had the benq on my list for the longest but that may change now 🤔

There was a setup post I saw where there where several “what is that bar?” Type of comments that really had me thinking maybe sometimes we go with whatever looks good in a picture at the moment. Aside from that, I do think it’s good to hear other peoples experience on an “alternate choice”

I know this review is 1 year old. 2 questions. Have you changed your mind any since then? Also looking for recommendations for a light for my dual screen setup. Monitors are set where they touch (slight V) and a little dark when working.
