"I really love you man!" There is no better complement from one of the worlds best humans. He is already missed
I found out about Benjamin from Peaky Blinders, but I had started to become really fond of his work and poetry quite recently. So when I saw that he had passed away I was genuinely heart broken. The world has lost one of its heros, what a kind, funny & inspiring person. Rest in peace Benjamin Zephaniah 🙏
We need more Benjamin Zephaniah and fewer Netenyahu. The world would be a better place and is all the more sad at his passing.
Britain's not the only country that needs people like him...
Rest in peace. Rest in Power. Remembered with “I really Love you man” Such a great loss to us. Thanks for sharing Russel, you trouble maker!

I adore Benjamin. So pleased I got to meet him. His autobiography is incredible, wise, humble and humane. We have lost a great, let us never forget his work and what he stood for.
Such a quality man. Much missed.
I never had the pleasure or honour to personally meet him but the sweet silly but wise energy he had truly will be missed

So special ❤. Thank you, Russell. You are a legend Benjamin Zephaniah. Rest in Peace .❤🙏
rip legend, nobody could have played the part of Jeremiah in peaky blinders any better than you my guy
Rest in peace Benjamin. Fabulous character ❤
He was a loveable and important “troublemaker”. RIP Benjamin.❤️🙏🏻
What a lovely man
Zephaniah’s debut novel Face I maintain is one of the most vital, impactful that was ever taught to me in English class in secondary school.
Legend, leaves the world a better place than the one he found
Rip Great man❤
Rest in peace, gone too soon. The man had a valid point too, you gotta stir things up to see positive change.
What he said we need "Trouble makers" reminds me of the line in *SCARFACE* where *TONY MONTANA* says "You need badmen like me"
He's so self-depricatingly charming. So sad to have lost him. He died relatively young. May he rest in peace and live on through his work.
Sweetest man, met him at Birmingham university open day and he's inspired me for over a decade. His writing is beautiful and him being a proud brummie and down to earth guy always was so refreshing
WHAT sorry american just found him on QI and panel... saw here and thought awesome i know russell is at least current... likely a recent interview... then i scroll to comment how beautiful a man he is and i see he is gone... RIP BENJAMIN... what a beautiful soul. Thank you Russell.
Thanks for posting this. Reminds us how lucky we were to have Benjamin.
A great brummie. God bless him and May he Rest in Peace ❤
I hadn't known about him until he was gone. My loss.
R.I.P Mr Zephaniah 🦁👑😢❤
A genuine loss to the world, a humble man who spoke a lot of sense. Also very funny.
2 of the most fantastic & wonderful people. Britain needs you both. Always loved Mr Zephaniah. Rip Brother.
RIP
Britain did need him!
I can’t get enough of this guy. Miss him so much!!!!
I will have to say, I love you too Mr. Howard. Not sure on the wrestling part 😊 out of respect for your marriage and your wife. But, I wouldn’t mind having a beer or whatever at a pub somewhere and just chat. I believe there is something genius with your humor and it would come out in your daily thinking and talks. Also, because you can make me laugh like only my own son can. You were (and still are) one of my go to comedians as well Mr. Howard. You had gotten me through some dark hours with my cancer battle (2010-2012) and for that I am forever grateful and I thank you. From a # 1 fan… Have a great holiday season with your family. 🍾🥂
What a gentleman ❤
Rest easy Zephaniah 🖤❤️💚 UTV
Rest in peace Benjamin ❤

You're missing the point. Well meaning troublemakers stir the complacency within us. We're not talking about knife/gun welding maniacs, but those who use their courage and intellect to shine a light on those matters most of us just sit on our arses and sitting on our hands merely blowing hot air from both ends about, doing absolutely nothing. The likes of Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, the Suffragettes.....all deemed as troublemakers. RIEP brother Benjamin🤎💯🇯🇲
