Mine looses some air from the break barrel sealment during fire. I did a test where I put a piece of cloth over the point where the barrel breaks and when I fire the gun, a small amount of air escapes upwards and blows the cloth. It's only a little but is it normal?

I just picked one up at Walmart. $75.73 with tax included. The pistol is fun to shoot but it is a bit awkward and heavy. I wouldn't want to have to carry it for an extended time. I've had no trouble with the barrel popping open after shooting and after 100 rounds, it's settling down and starting to make decent groups at 10 yards. I've run Crosman Premiere Pellets at 10.5 and 7.9 gr. and Comeda Exact pellets at 10.34 gr. I can tell you that the rear sight is fully adjustable and very precise but I needed to raise it up to the point of almost losing the adjustment screw. It has maybe 2-3 threads in the hole. Very disapointing. As for windage, two clicks left put it dead nut straight. The barrel is pointing down after it's loaded and placed in the firing position. As for power, I'm not impressed at all. I don't have a Chrony but I can tell by the penetrations I'm seeing in my Target Traps' backstop. Not much punch at all. I wouldn't consider using it for hunting anything larger than a small bird. I wouldn't even chance shooting a rabbit with it. With the Cocking Assist, the gun is fairly easy to cock. Still stiff enough to stop a small child from using it. If all you're looking for is something to punch holes in paper, this will be fine. If a rifle stock mod is available, I might consider getting one and mounting one of my Bushnell Scopes on it but I'll put a few hundred more rounds through it and see if the power comes up. If not, it's going back to Walmart. Hope this helps.

Trigger is horrible on mine. Fixin it right now...as soon as I find that damned spring! lol Couldn't find it, so had to make a new one, but got the pull down to probably less than two pounds! I removed the "safety" and it's spring, installed the adjustment screw into the other end of the hole till the end of the screw was flush with the bottom, and loctited it. That raised the anti bear trap feature up so high it wouldn't allow it to cock, so I ground it off! Needless to say, this is *not recommended for anybody else but me!* Can't wait to get a scope on it now

Hey there, sending this from Texas... good vid & maybe lil advice as I have same pistol. I set the rear sights all the way forward helping draw a tighter group. As well as getting rid of that cocking devise, pellets seem to shoot lower if u keep it attached while shooting. Rear sights have to be checked time to time due to the recoil. And if u fail to do so it can/may slide back on u w/out u realizing thus throwing aim off & thinking this gun is junk. Couple quick tips that wrkd for myself & a buddy of mine who recently got the same pistol.

I would not recommend this pellet gun for hunting purposes. You'd be better off with a pellet rifle to get that upward of 900fps for .177 cal. This gun in my experience does not have the required velocity. I also have not had this get anywhere near 625fps as the box says using lead pellets. My highest chronnied shot with 7gr lead was 515 fps.

Question having NOTHING to do with the gun, BUT_ what's with the gloves? Is it COLD at the time of the review? Now for the gun_ not that great a gun OVERALL. The trigger is a piece of crap. How do I know. Well, I returned the REFURBISHED one where I got it from, back to Pyramyd Air (No, I did NOT spell name wrong!). Then I tried ANOTHER, but NEW; got it from Walmart. STILL a BAD trigger. Tons of creep, and not any REAL adjustment. Now, on to that damn REAR sight. Due to the MASSIVE barrel droop, YOU CAN NOT ADJUST FOR ELEVATION. I am very serious here. You do NOT have enough adjust-ability for elevation. You CAN remove the rear sight and put a nice red-dot on, but it is a pain to do so. There is more-or-less a GROOVE the sight fits in, not really a RAIL. Would I recommend this gun? Well, it DOES have some OOMPH regarding the power. And once you have a DECENT rear sight, it groups fairly nice. So, yeah. It CAN be a nice gun. Regarding the cocking aide, you can just use the OTHER END over the barrel, and you won't hurt things_ REALLY! Oh, and SOME say the cocking aide somehow throws off the aim if left on the gun? Bull shit; has NO EFFECT at all, at least not for ME and three of my buddies. Take care, y'all.
