Benedict was really a giant of the faith, and he starts all from a little insignificant city how Subiaco, and through the adoration and contemplation he just creates with his monks, the world socially, after few century's from the falling of the western Roman Empire.

Thank you Father Columba for a spectacular breakdown of the history and Rule of St Benedict. I live the twelve step program and as a lifelong Catholic have seen many similarities in the steps and basics of Catholicism, I.e., the fifth step and confession. I realize now the great influence of St Benedict’s Rule in the foundation of the Program. This has been very enlightening to me and I will be sharing this program with my friends.
