Great selection of experts...several I recognize from other colonial era documentaries. A fascinating narrative, guided by the unmistakable voice of the great Martin Sheen. Well done all the way around!

I am absolutely discussed that this mans full history wasn't taught in school and that his name was allowed to be trashed. I majored in American history and wasn't aware of any of this.

You certainly have the right to be disgusted. The knowledge here has been dismissed as obviously unimportant for PC reasons.

I live across and a little south of the Saratoga battlefield and have visited his boot monument. He was our winningest leader on the water or the land with incredible personal courage. The only other General that would compare is Patton,a little rough around the edges but when it hits the fan you want them out in front!

Excellent information here. I am very impressed indeed. I was always of the opinion given what was commonly taken for fact that in actuality Arnold's historical portrayal was very one sided and very incomplete. Here is excellent evidence that this is in fact true.

The plaque at West Point, formerly named Fort Arnold after the great general, has his year of birth wrong. He was born in January 14, 1741. Not 1740. This was an awesome documentary. I wish they had mentioned the powder house that he demanded the keys from David Wooster. It’s still a holiday in Connecticut.

Benedict Arnold was probably the greatest general in the revolutionary war and that includes all the generals you might like in him to Stonewall Jackson Ulysses Grant Robert E Lee who was great general and deserves to be stacked up among the great generals you'd be a little upset too if Congress treated you the way they treated Benedict Arnold reduce or with you I don't blame him at all

Adams was not a soldier he was a representative of the people now the army could turn around and destroy Philadelphia but Washington would not allow that and neither would Benedict Arnold

Horatio Gates was completely dishonest in maligning Arnold. Without Arnold’s interventions one has to wonder who would have ultimately obtained victory. Gates deserved zero honor or recognition. Pond scum. Letters from soldiers aren’t about Gates hiding in his tent. They are strongly supporting Arnold. Was Washington unaware of this? The British knew.
