Benchmade's 2024 Catalogue Revealed!...But It Sucks.

Last night I posted some leaked catalogue pictures with some new Benchmade fixed blades and balisongs. Now the whole catalogue has been posted, and I discuss all of the new knives for 2024 which was leaked ahead of time here in 2023.

I agree. You are on point. Loved BM as a kid. Was always expensive but they had something over everything else, but now not much where the market is now. If you’re a new collector I can see having a BM just to have one. When they were awesome you could have and afford dozens. Getting away from milled anodized overbuilt aluminum/titanium and charging the same prices as years ago for plastic with a fancy name is a joke. Sadly this is where most American built blades seem to be going. Thanks for the video!

Benchmade is definitely pricing themselves out of the Market...Which is a shame I like a good bit of their stuff But refuse to pay the crazy prices only because if we all do they will believe their crazy price scheme worked!! If the would adjust their prices They would be back in the game and most of their stuff would sell out and wouldn't have to be discounted I know dealers are getting tired of it!!

I’m no spring chicken anymore. Benchmade was my first high end knife as a kid that cut lawns for money. It was the legendary model 800 AFCK with the licensed Spyderco knife hole. I went to a local knife show and bought it because I thought it was a 19:10 cool blade. I always try and support American made products, but I would agree that Benchmade has lost its vision and their price point. 19:10

I have approx 50 folders and 20 fixed blades. Of all those knives 2 of them are benchmade. It’s going to stay that way until these guys fix their pricing and catch up to their competitors with the quality control and materials being used on their blades. Companies like Houge & Spyderco are blowing them out of the water lately. Other than that I love my 940 and mini Adamas. Happy I picked them up when I did and didn’t pay ridiculous money for them.

@@TripleEEDC I don't understand the comparison to the Adamas at all. The Adira and Adamas seem to be geared towards totally different activities. The Adira looks to be geared towards water activities, especially with the highly corrosion resistant MagnaCut, highly visible scale colors, lightweight handle material, and grippy handle texturing. I would HATE to bring an Adamas kayaking with its CRU-WEAR steel. And to speak on pricing, the Adira makes up for its "worse" scale material with its "better" steel, all while being cheaper. They share the same blade shape, so what...

It goes without saying that most products on the market are or seem overly expensive when comparing to similar products and services being on offer . Either a particular business/ company trying to become multi- millionaires overnight or is it due to bad management where running costs are out of control that need to be contained to keep retail prices lower !!!! or is it just genuine expenses that are incurred in running a business etc Be interested if some one could asked BM and others about this subject

Way too negative and speculative. Let's get a bit more positive in 2024!

I generally try to be positive but this was my genuine reaction. I was hoping for some new models that offered something different. We got some but I was expecting something a bit different I guess.

Benchmade is the Kanye West of knives. At one point, early on, they were actually making innovative and high-quality products, but today, they are so delusionally high on their own propaganda that they don't even care if what they are putting out is utter overpriced crap. What is most mind-boggling about both these entities, is that despite the fact that they are currently producing garbage, they still somehow manage to have a cult-like fan base who will fawn over and shill for their useless trash...

That's a good analogy, the Kanye West of knives, I like it. When I worked at Benchmade Les Deasis was still running the show, and the new models coming out were cool and innovative. They actually tried to treat customers the right way, with flat rate blade swaps pricing, free clips, etc. They actually had me ship a no charge 9051 AFO to a deployed soldier in Afghanistan because his knife broke and sending it in was risky because packages to CONUS often disappeared. Now his son Jon is running the show, and it's clear they want to make the same regurgitated designs and make as much money as possible. Blade replacement is far more expensive now... they're just a very different company now.

Their quality is excellent in my opinion. But the price is crazy.

Literally all Benchmade knives looks 99% the same. Its a joke...average materials, ugly ass basic designs, and insane prices. Thats Benchmade.

All benchmades look the same to the extent that all knives look the same but to each his own! Still, I agree the prices are getting very high.

Another safe queen scum bags perspective on knives that they’ll never actually use if they get them.

Collecting is part of the hobby as well my dude! I would check yourself before openly spreading hate! It’s just not healthy!
