Bench Testing A Loco Remote

For the Ruston LAT kit that I am building I wanted a simple, easy to use remote control. The Loco Remote fits the bill and fits the space I have available under the bonnet of the LAT. This video shows the Loco Remote being bench tested with the assembled chassis and Lipo battery. If you want to know more about garden railways visit the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers website at www.16mm.org.u...

A very good, informative video indeed. I'm just starting out in SM32 and these Loco Remotes seem a doddle. Thank you for the upload.

I have four locos fitted with them. They are good and they work. With a number of locos you can either operate them all from one cell phone independently or collectively and can also devote one cell phone to each loco which is a lot easier. I use a cell phone for each loco. You can get second hand ( used smart phones now for pennies and you don't even need a SIM card to use the wifi with locoremote).

Hello I found your video very interesting and helpful as I am currently doing a similar installation, could you please let me know where you purchased the 2 amp resettable poly fuse from as I have been unable to find one that is 2 amp 6 volt there are several at higher voltages but nothing with 6 volts. Regards

As I understand it you can use any poly fuse with a rated voltage higher than you are using for your supply but not one with a lower voltage. I think mine were rated for 12v or 16v. I bought them on eBay.
