He’s only 27, and he made some mistakes early in his career, cocaine, not making weight, etc. But he’s a changed man and on a whole different level now. He’s way more impressive than Munguía, Ryder, Yildrim, Charlo, etc. Somehow they’re worthy of a Canelo fight but David isn’t. 🤔

They never made Canelo an offer. Canelo’s team offered Benavidez 5m which he accepted. This is coming from Sampson Lewkowicz (Benavidez’s promoter) After Benavidez accepted, Canelo’s team allegedly left the offer on the table to make the fight with Charlo instead. Canelo has denied ever making an offer. At the end of the day this is all he said she said nonsense so you can believe whatever you want.

The guy signed a contract to move up in weight in February. How does that make any sense and then keep blaming Canelo? Then his dad went on a live interview and stated that Canelo offered him $5 mill to fight and then said they accepted, then says that Canelo’s team just “disappeared” right after, then in the same interview stated that they would be moving up to 175 to fight someone who is managed by Eddie Reynoso who happens to be Canelos trainer/manager, so how did they “disappear” if they had to talk to Reynoso to make either one of those fights?

This is what I don’t get… His dad Jose Sr went on a live interview and said Canelo’s team offered them $5 mill to fight and said they accepted the fight, but then says that after they accepted the fight Canelo’s team just “disappeared” then in the same interview says they will be moving up in weight to fight someone who happens to be managed by Eddie Reynoso, Canelo’s trainer….my question is, how did they “disappear” if they had to speak with Reynoso to make the fight happen? And then Canelo said they never made an offer to Benavidez.

@jorge5275 Ryder actually went to Mexico and it was on DAZN easy fight to make, I know for a fact Benavidez wouldn't have gone to Mexico AND he himself said he wouldn't go to another promotional company for the Canelo fight. And for Yildrim (who was David's WBC mandatory) David had just lost his belt on the scale 😂 you're telling me Canelo was supposed to do David a favor and just give him the fight after he couldn't keep his belt?

No they don’t lol. Boxing never declined it still sells more than UFC 2023 top 3 ppv events were all boxing. UFC numbers declined since 2021. UFC will never surpass Boxing

That’s why he wants the fight so badly right now because he won’t be able to make weight at 168 much longer. Canelo started at 147 and went up to 175. David has been at the same weight to just outsize everyone.

Whether he gets $150M is irrelevant; its an "opening" number that the opposing promoter has already said is a viable jump-off point. I hope we get that fight soon. The more Canelo waits, the more it favors Benavidez because father time don't wait for no one.
